I seem to remember seeing pictures of Jeremy Pied training, he would be the obvious replacement for Cedric.

 

And yet, without needing to make any subs, we actually have the players on the pitch to improve in the crossing department. 4-4-1-1, with JWP on the right and Tadic on the left. Cedric can link up with JWP (and Bertrand with Tadic), and leave most of the crossing to JWP. We are getting a little joy down that side.

There's a potential Beckham in JWP. But I don't see a Gerrard or a Scholes etc in him.

Then again though, we are 1-0 up. To go 4-4-1-1, and leave Davis as the Romeu's only company, could be asking for trouble.

 

It's almost as though Tadic has demanded MP2 to play him on the right....

 

I don't think we're lucky to be ahead. We scored early and have sat back, but Brighton haven't really shaken us. They had a 5-10 minute spell which as the home side is not a lot really.

It's not hugely exciting, but we're not lucky to be ahead.

 

They do have the best named player in the league.

Yeah, isn't he one of the guys Pellegrino locked in the cellar? Hojbjerg got out somehow, so maybe there's a chance for Pied also. Don't get me wrong, Cedric is ok, but his crossing annoys me so much that sometimes I would rather see Cuco there.
