Roast lamb today. Have prepped the meat and veg already. Going for a run. Need to sweat out last night's booze so I can make room for today's booze.
If anyone wants to pimp their roast parsnips for your roast dinner. Par boil the parsnips. Toss them in olive oil. Duck or goose fat is better. Then mix plain flour, Demerara sugar, garlic powder, celery salt and onion powder. Then sieve over the parsnips. Bang them in the oven and remember to baste them. Best parsnips ever.
Have just had my spicy scrambled eggs for brekkie. Fry chorizo chunks, chopped spring onion together, add a teaspoon of chilli powder. Then add your eggs and scramble. Serve on thick crusty toast and drizzle with hot sauce.
My arse is humming. Used franks hot sauce you get with dominoes hot wings. Gets you going in the morning a bit of spice.
After being waited on 24/7 for the last week and presented with a range of amazing food, I'm feeling vastly unmotivated to cook today. Anybody got any quick and simple tasty dishes they can recommend, otherwise I'm going to end up eating toast today.
Recipe I did in the week. Couple of sea bass fillets. Pan fried in olive oil. Par boiled new potatoes then crushed them, drizzled with olive oil. Three in some green and black olives, artichoke and capers, then popped all that mix in the oven. Then start the sauce. Glass of white wine, cook out til reduced my half. Add decent quality chicken stock then reduce by half then add a tub of single cream. Serve as a mountain of potato mix in the middle of the plate, sea bass balanced on top then drizzle the sauce over.
