I thought the protest was poor. Demonstrate and protest by all means, but stopping play is crass. Beyond anything else that might be left to City supporters, a game of football is surely the one thing to be watched and enjoyed without something Allam spoiling it. Bad decision.

Everyone still had 90+ minutes of football to watch, the protest didn’t steal that from anyone, merely postponed it in the same way that an injury would
And anyway there are vast swathes of City supporters that are quite happy to regularly leave early and miss part of a game so those people presumably can’t be that bothered

It was daft and pointless, what did it achieve other than to break up an encouraging stint of play by City; injuries are unfortunate and unavoidable, folk leaving early make their own decisions which only they suffer any consequence of. I wonder whether there will be consequences.

Although we were poor, players had off days, etc I thought Forest played very well. They contained us comfortably and scored 3 on the break. If we'd done that away from home we and everybody else would be saying how we'd played the perfect game.

Even if it had affected the team by breaking up play, which I don’t think it did, that was always going to be impossible to second guess ahead of a timed protest.
In fact given we are clearly a middle table team it’s just as likely that it would have broken up encouraging play by the opposition. So on average if it was done every game there would be precisely no impact at all on results !
I wasn’t an organiser by the way, and didn’t take part either. I’m just someone who was at the game and was quite happy to see it

It will be interesting to see if there are any league sanctions though. Probably a fine?

Don't tell Ehab that. He will claim 93% of the fans are with him.

What consequences could there be, Fez?

Life bans for those concerned, possible prosecutions for throwing objects onto the field of play; would you discount anything from them?

    He’ll add 3k on first.

Does anyone know if the Sky commentators expressed surprise that there was a protest at one of the best run football clubs in the country? It was hard to tell from the short clip on Channel 5. They did show plenty of empty seats though. Even managed a "sneaky" view of the upper-west. I think that says more about the Allams abilities as Hull City owners than almost anything else.

Not sure about surprise. They mentioned that the fans wanted the owners out and that the club is still for sale (although that bit might have been Ch5).

Sorry I thought you meant consequences for the Club
Yes my first thought was exactly what you say, I wouldn’t be at all surprised if Ehab pushes for bans for those throwing the balls
He’s clearly not worried about reducing the numbers turning up!

Gary Weaver, for Sky, had done his homework and highlighted the issues and reasons for the protest.

David Prutton in the studio at half time was clueless to the whole thing.

He’ll have a job, if Ehab checks the cctv, he’ll find 3,000 balls we’re all thrown by him...

To achieve what? Do you think it will make them leave earlier, or will it harden their resolve to stay and impoverish the club, leaving it in his only knows what situation.
