You've played 7 of the bottom 8 and 3 of the top 12, yet Mourinho's cowardice has still seen you drop out of the title race by October
Although tbf statistically he is correct. They have scored 23 (albeit against bottom half sides) which is only second to City. Whether they will remain so after meeting mid table sides is uncertain but I honestly cannot see the mid table teams stopping them scoring. Especially at their home.
Which is very likely true. But then city won't be stopped either so while its are very very mean at the back they most likely will end up 2nd.... by some margin
All of this is only true if you extrapolate current trends to the end of the season, but we all know things can change. If it was all a foregone conclusion, there'd be no point in us bothering.
I would start him on the wing some.place. left or right. Taa will also start so after that... well.. we will see. We have to win the game first then throw on the grujics etc. This is not a game to **** up by thinking it's won.
I wouldn't bet against them, for sure - but we've seen things go wrong before. All I'm saying is that it's the uncertainty of football that keeps it interesting. And it's a long season.
I remember last season very well. At this point they stumbled after being all conquering and after all the pundits said that the trophy might as well be handed to them then. It is a long season and a few injuries to the defenders could disrupt their stability.
The only positives I could find in the Spurs game were that he showed some life, and that Salah continues to look the part - especially if he can improve his finishing.
