    I don't disagree with your assessment of playing the CBs out of position, but Northern Ireland caps aren't the greatest of measures...their all-time leader in caps among outfield players featured regularly for the national side while being a backup at (Championship) Brighton and playing for something called Kerala Blasters.

    Not quite as poor a measure as "one of the Canadian national team's all-time leading scorers*", but not far off.


    *Scoring 10+ goals in international play gets you into that company, if anyone's curious. 23 gets you the status of all-time leading scorer. We're not good at this. The greatest striker in Canadian history was banned for match fixing...at age 21.

    romeu will be playing, so vvd or stephens will be trying this position for the first time, brighton fans are very happy with thier midfield pairing, i feel vvd pr stephens will be more physical than davis, and both stephens or vvd add more of an attacking threat than davis does with forward runs and set pieces, leaving romeu as the dm

    Matchday. Gutted I'm not going. Have a Christening to go to this morning, the dad is a Chelsea fan the inconsiderate sod. Wonder if I can get away with wearing my Saints away kit under my suit?

    Anyway, no wish to jinx anything but I'm pretty confident we have now turned a corner and can win this one. So long as we don't do anything daft like play CBs in midfield :emoticon-0105-wink:
