Half time and still no shot on goal - and just the one from Stoke. Hope MS has something to say in the dressing room...
The most exciting thing for me in that half was a storm hitting here - had to go out and chase wheelie bins that had escaped down the road, then find somewhere out of the storm to put them...
Stoke have a 5-4-1 formation when they don't have the ball, and so far we do not seem to have much idea how to break it down.
I really can't see us getting anything out of this - not bothering Stoke at all. Am also following Deveronvale's match at Buckie Thistle - where much to everyone's surprise they are leading 2-0.
Ah well - that's what you get for no shots on goal... On a brighter note Deveronvale won 3-2, so not all is bad...
Somehow you get a feeling that you will not do well. We didn't do well, and Deeney is a very lucky lad.
I would say that Jersey's Peter Vincenti led Coventry to their 3-0 win at the Kennel, but he was taken off when the score was 1-0.
Totally Stoked today. That was a bad performance today, they deserved the win. Think most of us feared this coming. Typical Watford.
Oh well. They got a well worked goal and we never really very had the answers to get back into the game. Very slow first half and despite the odd chance or did not test Butland at all. Hopefully a minor set back! Deeney hardly won anything and they marked Ricky well.
Unfortunately had to go out so missed that game, in hindsight probably a blessing, until next time. On a brighter note, we have just won a world cup 51 years after the last one. Hopefully promising for the future.
Looked on a Stoke site - you'd think they would be delighted to win but some seem annoyed they won as it keeps Hughes in a job! Typical though isn't it - we get all hyped up in the media and then mess up. I just hope we don't lose any confidence from this with a few young players in the team. The ending was simply frustration.
Guess what! We are last on MOD. I will not bother to stay up. I think I will reclaim my missing hour in bed instead.
