Would have made an excellent thread. Pity I was in the pub and completely forgot about the game. They were superb against Brazil in the semi final
Grayson has to go asap. We need something to provide a spark Tuesday night or we are as good asrelegated. If he stays we are down. If he isn't sacked this week then Short has accepted another relegation. The man is incompetent and abysmal in every aspect
We don't do anything like that and haven't done for ages. We don't box in the keeper, time waste, dive or try to con the ref or take out the opposition for tactical reasons. We're also smaller, weaker and slower than the opposition without fail. I like the fact we're a relatively honest side. But when you're the only team doing it and results are consistently awful you're nothing but a ****ing mug for doing it.
Beat by headers again. Not reading through this ****e but I bet the fingers are pointing at Grayson. Bout time the fingers were pointing at players, O'Shea in particular, the club captain, the experience, the man at the heart of defense responsible for it's organisation for every set piece. Yet game after game it's headers and set pieces doing us. The man some folk were putting forward to take over Grayson Aye, no ****ing investment for CB's but aye blame it on grayson. Well I'll say it, JoS is the next damaging thing this club has had after Short. The man couldn't organise a piss up in a brewary and with short is an everpresent in our rot. Grayson can't go on the pitch and organsie his team to defend set pieces, he can't walk out their and prompt players to keep switched on and organised, nope, that's down to our industrious club captain who never seems to open his gob. **** OShea. Never liked the horrible ****.
I forgot about it as well. Yep, would be made a good thread. That's 2 junior World Cups this year, the U17's and U20's. Hope for the future maybe.
This sort of imply's though Bri that you don't need a manager at all if he has no input once the team goes on the pitch.
It's apparent to me that Grayson and his team aren't drilling us well enough at defending set pieces and defending in general. We were warned this would be the case before we got him and it has proved to be the case.
How does it? Don't try and put words in my mouth, i haven't said or implied that anywhere. If were to do a 'you' now, I could respond, "This sort of imply's though Rooch that football consists of only defending set peices. Don't talk **** man.
Had a bit of wine mate so don't understand what you have just wrote but Grayson picks him so who do you blame? he doesn't have to pick him or he could take him off if as you say he's the man at the heart of the defence and couldn't organise a piss up in a brewery sorry mate Grayson's fault.
So play players that aren't fit or are worse or don't play that position? Are you suggesting putting Billy Jones there instead. We need better fit CBs, that's a budget issue imo. Grayson doesn't have a magic wand to create a better alternative. I don't beleive that 4 first team coaches with defensive backgrounds and a club captain cb with all the coaching badges to manage a club hasn't drilled hell out of defending headers. Don't buy that for a second. It's a matter personal available imo.
Different managers but always the same result. Got to look closely at the dressing room - who is actually in charge. Atmosphere must be poisonous and players just don't seem to care. Bit like us up the road when we went down. Turned out to be a blessing for us to get rid of wasters. Hope same happens for you.
So you reckon if we get Pep Jose Klop or any other top manager they are only going to win 3 games before the end of the season.
While playing yes, there's 11 players on pitch with free will who have to think for themselves who are entrusted to make the right decisions. This reflects in the quality of player you have. Grabban, on the score sheet again, that's not Grayson's doing, he can't take credit for that, That's Grabban showing his quality at this level in the decisions he is making, not Grayson. Same works in reverse. Given there are 11 players who 100% in control of their decision making i'd say there's less than 10% maganer input while the game is played. Can't blame the overall tactics as we were in the game, we lost by a 1 goal margin, the decision and performance of the players on the pitch are entirely what cost us imo. The squad needs investment, imo patches of quality above the league standard counts for nothing when the weak areas aren't up for scratch.
