Rubbish Roo sorry, City started better last season and where did they finish?

Far too early to make such judgments. It's clear to that Spurs are better than United despite this result. Long time to go in this season yet.

He should have started. That united back 3 would have struggled if he could have fed in son and Eriksen making runs in behind. Instead, every high ball Son had no chance with.

I would expect that we will win the return fixture, as has been the recent way. Neither side looks likely to trouble Citeh this season based on that.

Mourinho seems to want to recreate Don Revie's Leeds. Our lack of really good options is showing right now.

    Still, Real Madrid up next.

I thought Ben Davies had a good game. Eriksen played too deep and was wasted. When Dembele came on they should have switched. Aurier needs to stop cutting inside every time, go down the line occasionally. I don't think we played badly. They got lucky with a hoofball, it could have been us.

  6. I don't think we actually got the ball close to him in the box. He's not been he kind of player that's gonna run from the halfway line - we have to adapt our game if he's leading the line and we just didn't do it. Team issue not an individual.

You genuinely believe that there is another team who are on city’s level? Last season they started well, but they looked beatable, and vulnerable in certain areas. This season they have purchased an abundance of quality and have shifted so much dead wood.

Yes, I believe we’re a better side than United too, despite this result. But no side had the quality of City last season. Just my opinion, it I don’t think anyone will get near them this season.

  11. Realistic I would say. We have seen some of these weaknesses before, but the last few games (not incl Spammers) we seemed to be progressing. Today was a setback for a few reasons.

We were the better side in the first half, in the second half the weather conditions were horrendous, which was a leveller. They played hoofball, we tried to play football, perhaps we need to learn from that.

    Probably nothing, like usual.
But that doesn’t mean we can compete in 4 competitions. We’ve already got so many injuries and the excessive fixtures that 4 competitions composes of (+ international matches) , Is a huge risk for a squad of our size. Especially when play so many first teamers so frequently.

This is paper talk let's see what they can do on grass when the chips are down. They will always look spectacular on their day because they have some spectacular players but Walker does not have Verts and Toby beside him and most of the time not even the City Captain either. IMO they have a lot of players who are there for the money and have little heart for a real contest, that's why they failed last season, and the season before that.

It just goes to show how it's about small margins dele could and should have won it for us then man ure had their chance and took it.we didn't play well enough to win but didn't deserve to lose either. I'm with smithy on the disappointment of losing to the spammers that was a big chance to win something and we blew it.I would love a trophy in the cabinet but it's not looking likely again this season :emoticon-0121-angry

I’m sure they’ll have a rough spell, every team does. Some more than others. But the quality that can step in to replace someone out of form is outstanding. We have much more heart, but our squad doesn’t have the quality in abundance, which is to be expected when you’re not a club run like they are.

Bloody hell. 28 games to go and some are writing us off. Last season after 10 games we were fifth with the same number of points. This year we are third and we are top at the halfway stage of a Champions League group containing Los Ladrones and Borrussia Dortmund with two home games to come. Keep the faith boys

I'm not writing us off just being realistic. The cups are our best chance of winning a trophy and it's been too long since that happened. We will finish in the top 4 again but a trophy would be the icing on the cake
