Match Day Thread Tottenham Hotspur v Manchester United

Discussion in 'Tottenham Hotspur' started by PleaseNotPoll, Oct 27, 2017.

  1. 4-4-2 or Dier to drop back and play the right of a 3??

Strong enough side on paper - no jokes about playing on grass <laugh>

Looks like a back four, although the question is whether Sissoko is playing deeper or further up the field.

Aurier needs to stay on his feet or the Tom Daley's in the United team will have a field day. Can not see us getting anything from this.
Dele and Sisdoko only score against dross
Aurier and Sanchez have never had to cope with Ashley young's dolphin impression.
Dier will be star struck at Maureen making eyes at him.
Eriksen has turned into Carlton palmer with all his set pieces.

  4. BBC (what do they know??) have it set up as a back 3......
From recent weeks listening to Poch it seems that the systems are interchangeable even during games. Players know their roles and responsibilities for each eventuality. Rather makes Weds capitulation even more confusing!!

WT actual F is GNK doing on the bench...his inability to run with the ball when he came on on Wednesday was beyond a joke. He made me wish we had Bentley back <grr>

What's happened to Nando. Bit of a kick in the teeth. Wasn't great against West Ham but still.

WTF is Sanchez doing on the bench? <yikes>

Whatever happens, I'll bet the small, angry Portuguese bloke didn't prepare for this Spurs line-up.

All these stats with football and most of them totally meaningless.

Whether United are unbeaten 35 times or 100 times makes not a shred of difference to the game today. Today they play Spurs and if they had played Spurs every time in the last 35 games at home their record would be quite different. Today is the first day of the rest of your life, get used to it.

Am not in to see the match...will be keeping an eye on my phone for updates but won't be able to post so thought I'd put my two pence worth in early.

    1) Jesus...what's with Dele and all these stupid show pony flicks?
    2) How does Young continue to get away with diving????
    3) That's the worst decision I have seen since the last **** decision we got at Old Trafford.
    4) Awful set pieces...can we PLEASE have the Danish Eriksen to take ours?
    5) How many times is Aurier going to go to ground instead of staying on his feet?
    6) Son...so so frustrating at times ?
    7) Winks looks out of his depth.
    8) How is that not a penalty? Oh yeah, forgot...FA rule 264a Spurs must NEVER get a correct decision at old trafford
    9) losing the 1st game of the weekend is crap <grr>
