For every tariff we don't pay,their are several extra one's we do,extra tariffs on NZ lamb,Beef,most things we buy off the rest of the world.
Plenty of poor countries,plenty of poor people in the uk,look after our own first,then if there is any left,help others.

Explain what you mean by affluent,our average standard of living is no where near top 5.For example if 3 people are shareing 1 million income,and 20 people are sharing 2 million,the gdp of the 20 is more but they are much worse off.
