Another point looks on-the-cards. Wolves will be up for the game, especially given their opening win at Blackburn. However, our Mr Jol is looking for more attacking play, so maybe we might get a win - an interesting test. I was there for our Easter weekend draw, when we should not have gone behind, but AJ (yes, AJ!) scored an equaliser. The game had an edge, with MickMc demanding a cauldron from the players and the crowd. Lot's of ridiculous booing for our Danny, who was well supported by us in the away end. C-O-Y-W !!
It's got score draw written all over it. Roger Johnson was a superb signing for them, and like you say they'll be up for it, whilst our attack was a revelation against Dnipro.
For some reason I am feeling quietly confident about this game. I think its because I saw us improve so much between last Saturday and Thursday that if we improve at the same rate between Thursday and tomorrow we could be on for a top notch performance. I know Dnipro aren't a PL team but they didn't look as bad from where I was sitting as some of the reports suggested. Our defence is superb and now that Clint's shooting boots have arrived from America and Bobby is match fit I can see us scoring a couple of goals. I agree Wolves will be up for it and they're a good side these days but we're on a good run, nearly everyone is fit and, having virtually qualified for the group stages of the EL, confidence in the squad must be high.
I think a draw would be good a good result. Agree with bidley that roger johnson was a fine signing for them, but hopefully with dembele being closer to full fitness and dempsey scoring a couple the other night then taking all 3 points is certainly not beyond us.
I do not wish to be to optimistic, following our mid weeks excellent performance, but wolves like many other last seasons strugglers have made great strides to improve their squad in the close season. I once again hope I am wrong, but I see this as a draw at best.
Tough fixture. No easy games. I fear we may suffer burnout from Thursday night, interesting to see how jol handles this in picking his formation.
I think this is a tough one. I see them scoring, so it depends on whether things fall right for us up front. I'll go for 2-1 to Fulham, but I wouldn't be surprised to see that going the other way. I really hope that Zamora gets a goal, to get his season up and running - he really looks like a striker who needs a goal to relax and give his best at the moment. For the record, my sons have gone for 2-1 (youngest) and 3-1 (oldest) wins for Fulham.
Since they came back up into the Prem we've lost one and drawn one at Wolves. They started well, but I have a feeling a lot of teams will go to Blackburn and win this season so that's probably not much of a form guide. It'll be a tough game, but we might just nick it 1-0 - a towering Hangeland header from a set-piece. I'd be happy with a point, though.
2-0 down at half time. I'd be more than happy with a point right now, Fulhamish! What's the story with Zamora? Is he rested, properly injured, or properly dropped? Has anyone got any info on that?
I'm missing it due to being at work. Do we deserve to be this far behind or is it just a bad day with bad decisions?
Sounds like they marginally had the better of the 1st 40 mins but we fell to pieces at the end, hopefully MJ will have some strong words at half time! Also Sidders and the Mousse are on for the 2nd half
