My first car was a Mark IV Cortina, 1.6 ltr. Blue with silver alloys. I loved that car. Still do, in fact, which is why I still have it and use it as my main vehicle. Actually, it is the only car I own. All that stuff about Mercs was just me trying to impress you lads.
Good to see you Quentin ... some people thought you might have gone missing after your latest footballing prediction fcuk up ... and given the reliability of your SatNav, that was a concern ... take it you were just round at Rupert's taking a consolation bumming?
In the 1970's the motorbike and sidecar was popular You may recall Arthur and Olive using one in On The Buses I spent the majority of 1972 wedged in a sidecar Eventually I lost enough weight to get out of it
My parents gave me their old Hillman Hunter and still wish i hadn't sold it (not the one in the photo). please log in to view this image
Currently drive a Nissan Leaf which is easily the smoothest drive i've ever had. The silence of the motor is completely disconcerting at first and I've almost knocked a few pedestrians over that didn't hear the car. Will never buy another ICE car again. Have a Tesla model 3 on order though i don't suppose i'll see it any time before 2019.
My old man had one of those when we were kids. He then had an Austin Princess Vanden plas. It was the muts nuts at the time. But looking back it was a bag of ****e. Thing is those cars today are fetching a mint.
So it was you ya bastard! Blow your horn next time! Or may be it wasn't you on Worship St that almost made me roadkill on Monday!!!
