I hate religion mate. Occasionally makes for awkward questions at home. But I love Christmas! I go overboard every year. My one chance to spoil the hell out of everyone I care about. And spread some good to some I'll never meet. My favourite time of year.
Yep, I love Christmas purely because the kids love it. It starts on 1st December in my house! Sadly we have a pretty dysfunctional family outside of our little unit of four so it's rarely been as big a family gathering as it could/should have been but I make sure it's special for my two. My missus says I'm nuts but secretly I reckon she thinks the daft lengths I go to are pretty cool. The same goes with Halloween. She mocks me for doing 4 pumpkins and decorating the house a week out and then takes pictures of it
The whole thing about christmas was a bit of an issue for my wife when we got together 15 years ago. She's muslim. It only took her a year or two to get where I was coming from though and now she goes over the top as much as me. It was all about making memories for my kids. About building family traditions that weren't there before. To make Christmas special for their kids.
Posts it up on here to see what sort of reaction it gets first And then blames his son. ****ing hell mate ....
Yeah, love it. The lead in starts in November for me. Don't get me wrong, not decorations or anything, just that here we go season. Was a bit flat till the kids all came along, it's utterly brilliant now though. You won't find me moaning about Christmas adverts on TV in November, bring it on.
I always used to but getting well into the spirit this year. My turn to have my lad overnight Xmas eve and this year will be the first he'll understand the whole father Christmas **** too. Can't wait
I actually buy the TV Times at Christmas and we sit together and circle the films we're going to record. And then when I try and record them Sky pops up with a message like "you recorded that last year and still haven't watched it you daft fecker".
