For once, I think we've actually got a reasonably decent choice of strikers at the moment. We don't have much depth, but that's even more the case in other areas of the pitch. I'm not sure signing a striker should really be a priority.
I think an experienced full back would be welcomed to let aina go further up the pitch or a left sided one so we don't have to see kingsley playing nay time soon. Clark has done alright though to be fair to him
I agree about a full back, but I don't get why people always want to see attacking full backs played further up. Surely they realise that means dropping the person currently playing there, which for us is Bowen. If you don't play Aina at RB, don't play him.
Sydney, you'd better get used to the club not resigning anyone who has no saleability. The wage budget will be cut to the bone over the next year or so. Money will only be spent on prospects where there is potential for a lucrative sale.
i didn't mean to start. i meant bring on towards the end to use his pace for the counter attack, should've been clearer!
So why'd we sign Larsson and Campbell? I think there has to be some acknowledgement that senior bodies help.
I would say Larsson because he was free and we needed a body. Campbell to try and appease the fans, increasing the numbers of satisfied punters to 90%.
Re-signing meyler and Dawson would be similarly free though and particularly meyler is popular with supporters so you could say they fit the criteria.
I doubt we'll get much for either. Larsson is on a one year deal so the same argument for re-signing Dawson gets made for him.
I was saying meyler because he's popular, Dawson because he's cheap. I wasn't using the same criteria on both, just applying the criteria we used for Campbell and Larsson.
