Zappacosta looks good
Bit of a heavy rock footballer looking at his name, Mother's of the Revolution must be proud of their half rock legend half footballer son.
Zappacosta looks good
Yeah mito, I meant our youth, if we're going to spend big money on not so brilliant players, it would make more sense to spend big on a couple of well known proven players and bring youth through, otherwise what's the point of having them if we're only going to sell them on when they reach maturity in football terms.
FSG have sold on some youngsters who've come good at their new clubs, so is the money more important than promoting from the youth system?
Your guess is as good as mine.
West Ham through![]()
Yep, they weren't the "Harry Kane" team tonight, just plain old Spurs.Spurs realised at ht that they might actually be expected to win something so they threw it big style.
It's.........well very familiar territory for spurs. They come of a really really easy win. Kane is out and oh.. out of a cup.

It's a London thing in generalYeah no lovren gifts
Bunch of bloody bottlers
Btw disgraceful West ham fans again

I love this attitude, so what it's only a trophy, we have won a couple of them in the last few.........decades.It's a league cup game, it'll be forgotten about by the weekend. About as important as the u23 premier league these days, in reality. Even if when your team wins it its supposedly a good trophy to win, something we are all guilty of having said in the past.

Any Cup is worth playing for, if not why do we count them when looking at how successful a club has been.
This is the attitude that actually makes a Cup seem worthless in the first place, supporters trying to convince themselves they didn't want it anyway.
I agree totally with this, I grew up believing anything was worth winning and still do.I'm just being honest, the FA Cup is going the same way. Teams like ourselves, Man Utd, Chelsea, City etc. playing 'B' teams up to quarter/semi final stage have devalued it, nothing to do with the fans attitude towards it.
Finishing top 4 and getting into the Champions League is the be all and end all of top flight football now. Do I agree with it? No. Do I think teams should be trying harder to add silverware rather than CL money? Yes. As long as the PL & CL are paying so much money then people are always going to value survival or CL football over the domestic trophies and they are only going to be a minor distraction for teams in the season.

I agree totally with this, I grew up believing anything was worth winning and still do.

Winning the league cup is better than winning nothing.I would say the league cup initially no one cares
.Spurs.... anyone willing to bet they end up.with no silverware again this year but consider last 16 of cl and 3rd or whatever succeas.
A clean sheetAnd what would you consider a success for your club this season?
