@Spurlock will call me Matth again. Tonights ****e thread is cars. We can keep the nostalgia of old cars. Today's are far better. Agree? Try and compare.
My first car was a Nissan Bluebird Estate ... inherited from my parents ... but made in Sunderland... by tossers
I used to have an old 1971 bay window VW transporter. Beautiful looking bus, but ****ing awful to drive and always breaking down. Those things are a labour of love and best kept as a hobby, rather than a daily vehicle as I was using it as. Also had an old Toyota Hilux pickup on a B plate from 1984 I think. It was a slow as **** and couldn’t keep up with the traffic. Top speed of 45mph, lucky to get 35 out of it going uphill. I was always looking in my rear view mirror and seeing a stream of angry drivers behind me trying to get past
I learned to drive in one of those. Piece off ****. Driven by Lester taxi driver ****ers. Are you a taxi driver fossie?
They are. Especially the double cab ones. The one I had was knackered. I got tugged by the old bill in it once, because it was covered it bits of gaffer tape to cover up the rust holes. Daft ****s were saying they were going to nick me, trying to claim that the cab smelled of cannabis (luckily didn’t have any on me) when in fact the smell was pissy wetsuit and wet dog.
French cars are crap, German cars are crap, Italian cars are crap, Spanish cars are crap British cars are..... Crap My 1st car was a Yugo that looked like an upside down skip. Crap car
First car was a Ford Escort it was quite nice but give me the comfort and gadgets of a new car. New better than old.
First car was an old Mini. Had plastic sliding windows, no synchromesh on down changes. Noisy as ****, slow as a tortoise with 4 broken legs, and a ride that was like going down a cobbled street on roller skates. I loved it!
First car was a Vauxhall Viva. Less said the better. Second was a Ford Escort. Only 2 brakes ever seemed to work at the same time. Never the 2 same brakes in a row though. Every trip was a mystery trip - whether we'd get there in one piece.
You talking to me? ... but no ... parents had an off licence business in Leicester... the Nissan was the last car the old man bought before he died ( was only 49 ... me 19) ... took it 'darn sarf' with me after Uni ... back seats came down ... and knickers ... many a Buckinghamshire girl got a good old bucking in that Passion Wagon! ... happy memories
