Wrong link mate For some reason it didn't paste the undercover report by the mirror Unless bury new road by strange ways is bury?
I don't know the geography tbh, nor have I ever been. Know loads of lads who got stuff from there in the past Also know there was an expose of the place so had assumed if had been shut down.
Garmont gore tex approach shoes (nice sticky sole good for platform pedals and clambering up wet rocks) Endura mtb shorts and Shimano bib (when it’s cold) Then a patagonia waterproof shell. Also picked up some sealskinz waterproof socks the other week. They are standard issue for the army. None of it is cheap, but I’ve bought cheap ****e from mountain warehouse etc before and it just isn’t up to the job.
ME and Rab aren't that ffs! That's North Face. ME is the absolute top drawer. Admittedly, both are mountaineering kit, not cycling. Got my eye on some innov8 runners next up. Not that I'll do anywhere enough running in the ****ers!
I didn’t say they were. I said mountain warehouse stuff is useless ****e. ME and Rab is quality gear. A lot of it crosses over quite well into mtb cycling too. Those innov8 shoes will be top quality too. A good trend in mountain specific footwear now is that they make runners, trail runners and low cut waterproof shoes. Gone are the days where a waterproof shoe meant pulling on a heavy pair of leather cloggers.
Ah right. For some reason, I saw mountain warehouse and read Go Outdoors! Who do sell the less techy ME and Rab stuff. But not the proper actual mountain kit. That stuff is for geeks. My 'anorak' of choice is a Mountain Equipment Changabang. It's fair to say, I never get wet!
I get a lot of my stuff from outdoor.de German website. They ship to Europe for €7 and their prices are way less that UK retailers. Got my Garmont shoes for £62 instead of £85 on uk websites.
There's a mate of mine has a gear hire company. Expedition kit hire? I think! BBC use him. If they're wearing the good stuff on autumn watch or life in the circle or something, he's hires it out. Anyway, can get some stuff at cost occasionally. Hence the changabang. Which is £350 in Ellis Brigham!
