May I suggest that it is the job of the 'Professional' journalist to get the answers to the questions that need answering. Our local media are simply s**t scared to do their job in fear of not being able to fill column inches and air time with mundane clap trap as they usually do all week.

You always seem to have it in for Dave Burns, no matter what he says. Why is that.

I thought his questions were both relevant and pertinent today and NP was both dismissive and evasive.

Dave Burns has done some daft stuff in his time but the bottom line is, he is the media, he is the link between the fans and the manager. When he asks reasonable questions, as I think he did today and the manager behaves in that way, it is us, the fans who he is being disrespectful to, not Dave Burns.

This is OUR football Club, not Nigel Pearson's, not Adam Pearson's and , dare I say it not Mr. Allam's. They are merely custodians. Without the fans there is no HCFC and we deserve answers to reasonable questions.

and how far do you think carl bernstein and bob woodward would have got if their dummies had come out when bob bradlee had told them that their initial story about a taped up door in the watergate complex was incomplete and wasnt worthy of a place in the washington post? their probing journalism eventually connected a slush fund and all kinds of ****, initially unrelated, to Richard Nixon a long way down the line. the rest is history. Fortunately their efforts were not hindered by the fact that they had to get the 'exclusive' on jimmy bullard or indeed whether city's trainers have blue or red flash on them for the forthcoming season. David Burns BA (Hons) typifies our local media who are historically so far up their own, and the club's arses, that they are no more than a publicity medium locally. The last real City Journo that the Mail had was old misery himself, Dave Bond, who was never satisfied with the first answer and was banned personally from BP and eventually effectively sacked by the Mail as a result. Is he still around mumbling to himself at matches?

I would suggest it's the managers jobs to answer the questions and not be such a rude twat!
The paying fans deserve answers to the questions Burnsie was asking. We've been utterly ****e at home for over a season now. This squad is HIS squad, the they still play
    Like ****ing muppets.

I live in Reading, I am a life-long Hull City fan, and I remember not long ago Reading could not win at home to save their lives, perhaps only 2 seasons ago. I really think patience is required. There is probably too much pressure on them at home to perform.

I never said there would be. I am making a point about football clubs in general, applied to Hull City.

I appreciate as much as anyone what the Allams have done for us. But football clubs are about FANS not owners.

If you cannot see that the you should look at what AFC Wimbledon have achieved. That is something we should all hold up as representing what we (football fans) are all about.

Our home form has been **** for 3 years though, so it's a little different. (And we look like extending that to 4)

Burnsy gets a raw deal from the anti-media types on here.

Big Nige needs to stop acting like a spoilt child. Case closed.

I remember Simon Grayson had a terrible start to life as Blackpool manager, but then went on to become undefeated for a large portion of the season. It could go that way, or it could be a Phil Parkinson style start.....you, the viewers, decide....

It might just take one win at home this season to stop the rot, but we looked dreadfully short of ideas coming forward yesterday i'm starting to wonder when that win will come.

Its not just yesterdays game though and its not just nigel pearson.Look how many times the fans wanted answears from phil brown and all you got off burnsy was better wait till monday to ask him what went wrong and thats when he was head of sports.I remember writing a letter to the sports editor of humberside and the hdm at the time asking them to investigate the sheffield mafia the fans knew something was not right and wanted answears. And at the time both did **** all because they was ****ting themselfs that the club would ban them from the ground and be given no player interviews. And nothing has changed

Not quite. Burns is a very lazy journalist who gets his facts and sources mixed up, he is to me on football reporting what the Pearsons and Barmby are to you regarding City. I agree when we are not doing so well Pearson needs to try harder with the media, but our local media are a bunch of clowns.

Our local media are poor and our manager hates doing interviews, it's not an ideal combination.

i thought are we missing a leader on the pitch, and will there now be funds avialable to bring in re inforcements this week, where both valid questions...

yet he avoided them both, hes a dick, simple as..
yes we are missing a leader, because you let one go and replaced him with a forest reject...
he answered the other one, by snapping hes not talking about jimmy bullard, the question was about available funds!
i think some people could come home from work, and find him in the bath with there kids, and theyd still make excuses for him...

the question wasnt directly about bullard tho, it was about the money that would leave...burnsy even started by saying, dont worry this isnt a jimmy bullard question....
he could have said, its still too early to talk about that, ive not discussed that yet etc.....
he just snapped like a petulant child.......as people have said above, burnsy is only asking that question on our behalf...
its part of a managers job, if i didnt like part of my job and complained id get told to **** off and find another one then

Nige has always been a bit off in interviews, however he has nothing on Alan Knill.
