At least one lad's got his optimism back - taken from an EFC fan forum .....

''i would love to see Unsy in charge 5 years from now with a team full of ex academy lads picking up trophies for fun, imagine EFC led by Tom Davies as captain and Jonjoe Kenny helping him lift the champions league trophy.'

In just 5 years - What are the odds? Still best to look on the bright side <ok>

P.S. mito could learn a thing or two from this approach <whistle>

It's no coincidence that since Cattrick Everton's success has come from ex-players(Kendall, Harvey, Royle), so Unsworth might not be such a bad idea, but their new owner will be looking for a more high profile manager, can't see him going backwards for Moyes or any of the usual suspects so I'd reckon on them going for another foreigner.

He thought Koeman was the answer and was relentless in his pursuit of him. Goodness knows who he sees as the answer now but I bet him and Bill will have a huge difference in opinion on it. Bill will be wanting his mate Moyes and Moshiri will want a glamour name.

Some of the tabloids are saying ex Dortmund manager Tuchel, imagine him and Klopp managing both clubs on Merseyside, it would keep Klopp on his toes and would spice things up a bit.<laugh>

yeah but that was the same **** before koeman.

It was the technical director out of seville who was amazing and that net thing steve walsh turns up. then it was that dortmund manager and koeman jogs up.

there is a lesson here. buy fewer players, but buy well. (they bought too many who are not doing anything) and make damned sure you cut your cloth to where you are at.

The glamour name is for when the 60k shiny stadium exists. not now.

everton are bottom 3, lack a striker and in the end the glamour names will look at that and say ok.... whats success for my rep here? 7th... hardly.... all i can do is keep them up and hope that they buy a striker for me.... top names go to jobs where trophies are possible and indeed likely.

Would be a good choice for Everton tbf, Moyes, Allardyce and the other usual suspects just stagnate clubs and then get ****ed off.

Not surprised mate, think he's waiting to see what happens with Conte at Chelsea, can't see him going for a non CL club.

Moshri might persuade him with promises of mega money to build his own CL team and offer him CL manager size wages from the off.
