I don't see us ever getting past the transitional stage, and only 50/50 that it wont get canned before that.
Its cold outside and paying a huge sum to have only part of what we have now is madness.
You also forgot to mention that as well as the cash for access we would still have to accept freedom of movement, and adhere to EU law.

Just trying to explain it in way that simpletons like Chesh will understand.

As a pensioner you would be long dead before any of the **** impacts. In fact those over 60 should be banned from voting in any elections. Senility means you are not fit to have an opinion.

    Good afternoon to you too.

I agree but I'm afraid we'll definitely be 'leaving' on paper at least and we will have to go for the madness route of paying for part of what we have now but with less influence as that is the democratic consensus and renegading on exiting would been seen as an EU stitch up and cause so much resentment (on both sides) so sadly I think we'll have to go through the motions. But can definitely see the transition period extending and extending until there's enough desire for a 2nd referendum.

Was going to mention freedom of movement but suspect we will move to a Belgium style control on EU migration and this will be sold as taking back control instead of using an option that is already open to us.

Our exports to the EU account for 12% of our total economy. EU exports to the UK account for 3-4% of the EU's total economy. Now obviously that's a hit they'd rather not take but at the negotiating table I know which hand I'd rather be playing with.

They export more to us than we do them and if we don't pay them any money, then the Frogs and Germans will have to tell their people they have to make up the shortfall. All bluff, they will do us a good deal.

You do know 12 is more than 4, right?

It matters not a jot the absolute sum is bigger for the EU, if a bad deal hits us both equally, let’s say we lose 25% purely as an example - the EU have a bit of 1%

It may be more than our hit in pounds but far easier to absorb

And that assumes the hits are equal there’s plenty of reasons ours could be disproportionately large

If you had trouble with the initial question I asked, do not attempt the rest of the paper as you may become depressed when you realise you don’t know what any of it means

You do know,if there's no deal, not only do they not get the hoped 60billion off us they also have to find another 60 billion to make up the shortfall. That's 120 billion loss they will have. Not split between all the countries either, just the big players will have to sort it.

Democracy relies on the electorate knowing what they are voting for.
Blame the lies of UKIP and the usual Tory suspecs.

Doubtful. It is 50/50 so he has half a chance of getting it wrong.
