25 mins in and I've not seen a decent spark of creativity. I dont think this system works, or at least the players in it.
My buddy group have been bemoaning the poor short passing since last season. we What is it low motivation, poor fitness? Obviously have to increase pace and commitment, gotta ask though why is the gap there to a teams like stoke and west brum.
I think its time we got rid of the dead wood. Alex wants to leave, Kalou needs to go, Malouda has lost pace, Anelka looks bored and no creativity in midfield.
I have been saying since May that Anelka and Malouda needed to be sold for us to make any progression. Expect 3rd at best this season and nothing more. How can City and United be so much fitter than we are already?

Indeed. Bring in Mata, De Bruyne, sod Modric and get someone "unproven" yet talented and play them all season. At least then if it does all go tits up it wont be quite so embarassing....

Bit worrying about Torres. He looked very good last week, best I've seen him since he left us in January, but today he just looked a bit...out of place. If he falls back to last years form, you will be in trouble. For £50mil, it seems like he's going to play pretty much every week, so in order for Chelsea to compete, they will need him scoring. On the plus side though, Lukaku is a quality player, once he starts playing, you'll be challenging I feel.
Alex made a bad mistake yes, but he's still a class defender and we're lucky to have four of them. IMO we defended reasonably well for the rest of the game with the odd mistake here and there, we have a stand for a penalty too. Not our best performance by a country mile but again with the help of a couple of signings we should be ok.

If you disagree with people fine but don't call them idiots. As a person that watches us week in week out I am entitled to my views. I have said for months now that we should be rid of Lampard, Anelka and Malouda and come May you'll have seen I was right. We have enough experience in JT, Ashley, Ivanovic, Alex, Drogba, Mikel and Essien thanks
