At the expense of turning the entire team to crap. Your problem is too many number 10s and not enough pace. So you play no touch slow as **** Rooney as another 10 because his wages are too high to drop him. Brilliant.

So it’s the number 10’s that are the issue?

Our investment in Rooney was £0 plus his wages of £150k a week. So over 2 years he'll cost us £15m all in.

We paid £24m for the hapless Klaassen who's on £70k a week, and he's rightly on the bench.

Rooney isn't the issue with that side, you biased plum.

maybe. Howe is a decent manager who is worshiped where he is but he's not really getting the results there for the investment that they have put in. its not huge but it is not insignificant.

The problem anyone at everton will have is the same as the issues that koeman has... williams and jagielka's legs are gone and keane is struggling.

Williams and Coleman are the issue.

One is a problem being in the team and the other out of the team.

true, but looking at your line up you are prob struggling to cover the cbs too.. theres just a coupel too many problems no?

Yuo would prob play 3 at back if not for coleman?

I would like to see a three of Keane, Holgate and A N Other. Think Koeman wanted that with the players he had in mind.

So after yesterdays game:

Spurs are definitely a (and possibly the only) credible challenger to City for the Title. Saturdays visit to Old Trafford will tell us more but they can go there full of confidence.

As for us, the Title is over. Given our piss-poor defending/defence i'm not sure it was ever a realistic goal tbh.

As of now, we have 2 main tasks before the January window.

1. Try to maintain or close the gap to 4th. We have to knuckle down and win some game that look winnable on paper. We only have Chelsea left to play, of the big6 in the first half of the season, so need to take advantage of the big6 teams dropping points against each other.

2. Not throw away the opportunity offered by our kind CL draw. Given our low European ranking and comparative lack of CL experience in the squad, getting to KO's will be a result. Anything beyond that a bonus.

Garth Crooks is saying Rafa can win the league with Newcastle 'with the right resources' <laugh> o_O

well..... what does he mean. a billion pounds to spend?

Are we saying rafa could never win the prem given unlimited funds or that guardiola and mourinho are just better managers etc etc..

I don't think that much can be read into that spurs performance. they have been better on the road but at home where sides actually try to defend against them they havn't been great.

For us? the title? that was over before the season started. The gap to 4th is what it is. we have to improve but actually we are handing in worse. I agree only a moron coudl end up 3rd in this group. if we don't hand maribor their heads and end up on the final day at worst needing only a draw for 2nd we will have ****ed up royally. I have said all season last 16 would be great. At this point we would have to lose all remaining games to end up 4th so we will be at worse in europa.

We need to just improve. that means the two gobshites who threw the game yesterday must get dropped. Those were terrible individual errors and there has to be consequences at some point for that.
