With respect, whats with the "cherry picked" out of context response - are you a newspaper reporter - read my whole post and it is bemoaning our general situation man - (and its one of my typo free posts ..<laugh>) -

    Simon Grayson's league win % at Sunderland = 7.69%

We usually sack managers who's win percentage dip to the lower 30's and that's at Premier league level.

He's won 1 of his last 20 league games as a manager. Absolutely abysmal. How long will this farce continue?

It wouldn't come as a surprise given our form.

Just to add, when I said form, I didn't mean on the pitch.

I meant for sacking managers early on.

Grayson in. That is all. If you think that there's a new Brian Clough just itching to get his paws onto the career death that is SAFC you are mad. We're only 13 games into the season as well, FFS. Call for his head after 39...

Agreed. We have a culture of sacking managers when the problem is elsewhere.

Until Short sells up, sacking managers is simply re-arranging the deck chairs on the Titanic

It isn't. We have a squad capable of pushing for the playoffs not propping the league up.

There'll be countless coaches that could come in and do far better. Grayson is another man scared of his own shadow. In his own words he couldn't figure out how to get Mcgeady and Mcmanaman in the same starting 11. Gee I dunno simple Simon. 1 is a left winger 1 is a right winger. Rocket science, mind blowing.

It's concern as RB, LB interchanged or even play as CH_ it's a big sign of a manager being out of their comfort zone, - - 2 wins from the next 2 games are a must and a good result needed at Borough after that. I really want SG to succeed :emoticon-0148-yes:

I honestly think that is wishful thinking, the squad was a dis-spirited, disjointed mish-mash when Grayson arrived, he and Bain have slowly improved the situation with little or no money to replace the departees, Pickford, Lens, Khasri, Borini, Vito etc, also the remaining senior players have struggled, ie Catts , Rodwell, N'Dong and Kone. Rightly or wrongly we expected more from all of them in a lower league, but so far they have not delivered. The manager is in no way to blame for this and has generally made a decent fist of team selection from what he has to choose from, yes substitutions have been questioned and he has erred once or twice, but what manager is perfect in this respect, none. To take a flutter on an untried manager now would be suicide , and should only be contemplated if we do go down again, which I dont think we will, tbh even if we are still not sorted out in the next few games.

Agree we whole squad was at a low with the moyse blues and that legacy will take time to erase. I honestly think we get a win and the players (and fans) will be lifted and our unbeaten surge will include wins. I know this maybe unrealistic but imo we all need to be more positive atm. The negativity brings us all down but if we are still in a winless mess when we meet Boro'.. time up for SG imo

OK, so who are we going to get in to be our very own Messiah? Ronnie Koeman's suddenly become available and Frank de Boer has been for some time.

As for relegation, we actually only have to finish 4th bottom to avoid that and if we don't we deserve the drop. Old farts like me who were there 30 years ago know what that's like and I really don't want to go there. But this relentless manager-swap is just the sort of thing that'll do the trick...

I understand why people are panicking, they were expecting more and don't like to see us still in the relegation zone after dropping a league, but this is where the revolving door of managers has got us and it's time for it to stop.

The other teams we're facing are on the whole better because they're more settled than we are, not that they're better on paper, because I think most agree that quality wise we're not a bad side. It's a form is temporary class is permanent thing, we'll be fine given time and a settled team and manager.
