Poor Verstappen. Obviously they saw he was to young for champagne in the USA so the bouncer kicked him out.

as far as I'm aware they are told which corners that track limits will be imposed and on the ones they keep running wide they aren't enforced...

Ver definitely cut that corner though... however raikonnen was only defending vettels position so shouldn't have been in that situation.

Ok ok ok track limits didn't matter before. Especially in qualifying where some people went well off it. But now?

but for which offence? I thought his move on Bottas was highly questionable, he 'gave the place back' but in such a way Bottas was massively compromised for his next entry, or was it the Kimi corner cut

what? Defending Vettel who was faster than Verstappen?

Vettel slowed right down at the end there. Resting the car or tyres shot?

.....Or is his Ferrari on the blink again.

Until they stop allowing a car to run around the outside of the track, it’s almost pointless having white lines. Then you can start to police unfair moves on the inside.

I haven’t seen the replay, but I thought Bottas shouldn’t have retained his position over Ricardo, I’d have to look at it again.

Thought Bottas was poor, and whilst compromised by his team again, he overdrives the situation. Stonking drive by Lewis and a good salvage job by Ferrari, but they should have switched earlier to the 2 stop - they had nothing to lose.

I didn't either, looked like he used the run-off to get the inside into turn 2. I'm not too bothered about running it wide around the outside, but cutting a corner because there is no room on the inside to make the move legally is a bit different, he didn't gain .01 of a second, he gained a place.

And the unwinnable debate about white lines and driving standards depending on who you are and what is okay starts here.........

As much as I think he's a **** driver, I thought Ericsson was hard done by, Max, on the other hand, he's got away with so much **** up to this point it's about time they gave him a penalty.

    So Mika Salo......

Finnish, ex-Ferrari, failed young hot-shot racing driver........glad none of that came into his decision making........ and he penalised a Swede as well but let everyone else off, including another Finn for potential track limits as well........ We'll done sir, well done.
