Too many players now shape their body looking for contact such as swinging a leg towards the defender looking for contact or doing an Ashley Young type swerve as he did against Shaun Derry. Referees are being regularly conned but use the excuse there was contact to justify decisions. The days of Peter Storey and Chopper Harris are long gone...
100% dive if you ask me. All this bollocks about 'there was contact' pisses me off. There may have been slight contact, but it wasn't sufficient to make him fall over in the extravagant way he did, or to fall over at all. Even in cases where a penalty can legitimately be given, I would still book the player for simulation where they act in this way.
Going back to the Everton Europa match, has JJ taken leave of his senses? Unbelieveable, the muppet has just attacked a player and JJ defends him, perhaps he should be banned by the BBC...
My 4 year-old grandson is going to his first proper game on Tuesday, at Arsenal (his dad is an Arsenal fan, sadly). When I asked him who they were playing, he said 'Norwich' and then followed up with, 'I hate Norwich'. I'm not sure this is an attitude to be encouraged, but I thought Col might be pleased.
Spurs make a good start against Liverpool, 2 - 0 up after 12 minutes. Kane scoring his first Wembley goal for the club.
This could be embarrassing for Liverpool, Son just hit the woodwork as Spurs look like scoring every time they go forward...
Ronald Koeman sacked unsurprisingly ... http://www.independent.co.uk/sport/...odds-replacement-arsenal-defeat-a8015331.html
Two Dutch managers gone fairly early in the season, their national side not qualified for the world cup - total football has certainly slumped in recent years
Yat Spam at Reading under pressure as well. A Reading mate of mine described their performance at Sheff Utd as utter garbage and they looked like relegation candidates.
Must wish he had just stayed at Southampton, ditto for David Moyes, who rumours (Sun) indicate could be returning. For that pair of managers the grass was obviously not greener on the other side of the valley. https://www.thesun.co.uk/sport/foot...shock-move-david-moyes-replace-ronald-koeman/
Apparently there's Carabao Cup ties being played tonight not that we'd ever be involved in cup ties at this stage of the season.... Anyway Palace are continuing their marvellous season by being pummelled 4-1 by Bristol City, Norwich are leading at Arsenal, Massive are losing at Leicester and Wolves are 0-0 at Man City.......
