1 Georginio Wijnaldum injury update Georginio Wijnaldum was ruled out of Liverpool's Wembley meeting with Tottenham Hotspur due to a knee injury sustained in training. After picking up the knock on Saturday, the midfielder was assessed but the Premier League game came too soon for the Dutchman to feature in the squad against Spurs. “Gini got a knock on his knee yesterday. It’s nothing serious but very painful,” said Jürgen Klopp ahead of the clash in London. “We couldn’t do it overnight. It’s not a big thing but the time was too short from yesterday to today, so he’s not even involved in the squad.” http://www.liverpoolfc.com/news/first-team/279098-georginio-wijnaldum-injury-update
Wijnaldum can at his best disrupt play and be influential despite not getting on the ball much. But lets be serious, he is an average player and when Lallana is back fit, he will be the first one out of the team. Hell when Mane is fit and Coutinho drops to midfield, Wijnaldum also misses out. Then next summer when Keita comes in Wijnaldum will be far down the pecking order.
That maybe the case but today we don’t have Lalla and keita isn’t even our player Milner looked good against Maribor but it was Maribor Personally think wiji is a little underestimated, not world class but defo does an unpopular job. Chance for someone to step up either way we should know in about two hours
True, but he deserves to retain his place, he had a good game. Henderson however coming back into the team despite playing sh!t.
