Awesome performance by the boys, must admit I shat a brick when I saw the teamsheet prior to the game, but fair dues the boys put in a massive effort and fully deserved the points at the end. Here's how i saw it:

Kenny 7... 2 or 3 standard saves from Pad, never was gonna get anywhere near Baines free kick.
Orr 8... Had Rodwell in his pocket all afetrnoon, was only ever troubled by Baines who was easily Evertons best player
Connolly 7... Solid. A few passes got slipped past him but put in a good shift.
    Gabbidon 9.. Wtf??
Hall 7... Won all the headers/tackles only a couple of **** passes.
Faurlin 9... Back to the usual Ali thank ****. We completely obliterated them in the centre of the park.
Buzsaky 8... Superb first half, tired second but calm and influentian on the ball.
Derry 9... Usual Derry dominance :)
Tarbs 7... Hit and miss as usual, went missing a bit second half, but under the cosh last 10 he was a good outlet
Smith 9... Sooooooo sorry for slagging Sir Tom this week. Cant wait to see that goal again on MOTD tonight!
    Agyemang 7... Bonkers.

    Happy evening all!! ;)

Bakes, can you please give us more on both Faurlin and Buszaky?

Was Ali really that good, or have you got slightly rose tinted glasses? How about Buz? I think he has the game for this level of football, how did he do?

We completely bossed the game in the middle of the park tbh Roller. Ali was fantastic, looked fitter, must've won all his headers/tackles and we had 3 or 4 patches in the game where our football and possession play was absolutely sublime and he was key to most of this.

Akos was excellent first half, seemed to play alongside Ali/Derry and was very effective first half, as usual he was calmness personified on the ball and provided an excellent assist for the goal... Think he tired 2nd half and as we got deeper and deeper he was seen less, but like I said even then he was an asset on the ball when we needed him.

Super performance by both of the tbh.

Cheers Bakes, that is really good to hear. I was worried about Faurlin pre-season and then again last week against Bolton. There will be no one happier than me if it was just a blip. I think the part of his game that has improved most since he joined us is winning those little headers in midfield, on his day he seems to always get something on them.

I expect Buz to eventually be a regular in the team this season. I think he is made for Premier League football. The pundits will get wise eventually, probably after he has scored a stunner.

Thanks again for the update mate.

Brilliant smash and grab today. It reminded me of the game away to Reading last season only against better opposition. So resolute and determined. We rode our luck for sure but last week we were unlucky so its swings and roundabouts. Great coverage on Setanta Ireland today. Enjoyed it from start to finish.

Well done Bakes and all the travelling R's. The commentator mentioned it when we was cheering all the passes like we was Barcelona!

Not a hint of negativity swordster and with a much derided 2nd string of starting players.

Have you finally joined me and DT in the happy clappers camp you miserable old sod?

Indeed I am a happy clapper tonight Wubba <laugh>! We still need to strengthen but I was very impressed by the boys today. Not at all surprised by the application and effort cos you're guaranteed that with this bunch but we were not at all overawed.

On another day we could've been beat 3 or 4 but on another day last week we could have gotten a point. A few quality additions and we'll have as COLIN says "a fighting chance".

Well thank Christ on a bike you've finally cheered up and got with the programme.

Yeah you need skilled players but you really need team spirit and that's worth half our required points total for me.

A nice ruby tonight to celebrate and I've cracked open a decent Neuf du Pape in honour of tommy smith

No way was Faulin a 9, but was decent. Derry and Gabbidon were joint Man of the Match for me. No fuss, no frills, just solid geezers setting a good example. In both a football and professional sense.

My heart was in my mouth for the last 30 mins. But the journey back to Berkshire with an Evertonian was a sweet as you like. You R's!!!!!

I can't remember ( Without googling. ) the last time we beat Everton in their own back yard.
    What a result!
Sunday morning papers will never feel so good since, ehm, uh,oh we won the Championship.......
Beautiful, this is what we've waited 15 bloody long years for.
We beat Everton away, who would of thought that 12 months ago?
    I Love it!
