BBC weather suggesting disruption to ferry travel. The worst thing to happen to me was braving a storm on the fast ferry...just to arrive at Southampton and have the announcement that the ferries were now cancelled and so was the match. We all had to run for the car ferry which was just about to set off back to the Island. So a risky business.
https://www.fansnetwork.co.uk/football/southampton/news/46779/ Talking about the gate for tonight's match being low for various reasons including ko time, opposition and Saints' form. May be even lower if people quite reasonably decide not go because of the conditions.
I might be a fair weather fan today, simply because I have a 3 mile round trip, walk. Not really looked into buses, but the walk to the nearest stop is 10 minutes, and then a change somewhere.
Something stubborn and begrudging in my soul actually quite admires Tony Pulis - but his teams are hardly box office are they? I always picture him scowling, with a little black cloud over his head - and that's not a bad metaphor the style a Pulis side plays.
That is why I never bet for us to win, always to lose or draw. small bets, but win-win. The only time I like losing money is when Saints don't lose. The relegation season of 2005 paid for my season ticket the following year Actually completely off topic Liverpool winning the Champion's League Final in 2005 paid for the following season as 3 separate bets at halftime in that game (remember they were 3-0 down), totalling £12 won me £672 I bet on Liverpool missing a penalty, full time (90 mins) being a draw and Liverpool to win overall.
As an aside, he's my one hope for today. Seems a very streaky striker to me so hopefully goes on a little run now.
