Ahhhh. Oh dear Koeman. Can't say I feel sorry for the twat. Reality of life at a proper big club.
There is no sign that clubs are unable to compete with the big clubs, at least no more so than usual. Unless you want to go back 40 odd years when the standard of football was ****.
Yeah I reckon a Super League will happen eventually, a closed league with no promotion or relegation but all the biggest teams in Europe in it. All the best players and money will go there and the rest will be left in their respective domestic leagues. It would massively drop the wages of the "average" players who are left behind as there would be no huge TV deal for the domestic leagues as very few people who live in China/India give a toss about a West Brom or Saints, so would only be on national television. That is the only time the TV deal will burst, clubs like Saints will be ****ed in the short term if a super league happened as they would have a bunch of players on PL wages but without PL money.
I think it will happen at some point, reality is "core support" isn't that important anymore financially, and by getting into the super league clubs secure themselves as one of the big boys forever.

A lot of small clubs will go to the wall if a Superleague happens....some may feel not enough money goes down the leagues, but what does will be sorely missed. Supporters of the big teams will rarely see their team away....it will be a one off treat saved for by most fans. I suppose the next layer of clubs (below the Superleague) would benefit as they would mop up some of the fans....however, they would have lost a lot of TV money.

Ordering on line will be the death of the High Street, watching on the small screen will be the death of cinema and the theatre, supporting a distant club will reduce live attendance at away games. I wonder if Newcastle could become the new Man City? A big club, that have been in the doldrums far too long. An amazing fan base, especially away from home, that live and die for the Magpies.
