A Canadian man that was held captive by the Taliban for five years has expressed his surprise that Donald Trump is President of the US. His kidnappers told him, as they used it as part of a video where they proved that he was still alive. He thought they were joking! “It didn’t enter my mind that he was being serious,” said the victim.
The ****wit literally cannot stop himself... http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/av/world-...igrates-obama-over-false-fallen-soldier-claim All this as Dumpf's nominee for Drug Czar is shown to have assisted large pharmacy companies to massively increase sales of opioids!! No conflict of interest there, no Sirree-Bob!!
Any other job,in any other country,a person proves totally incapable of doing his job.....would be fired and kicked out on his ear. What on earth is stopping the American people and their reps?
The Republicans are the only people that can get rid of him and they want to pass some ****ty bills first. Dismantling healthcare and cutting taxes for extremely rich people are more important than a fruitcake with the nuclear codes, apparently.
Trump in the crap again. He just can't keep his trap shut. Now he's upset a dead soldier's family by calling them and mentioning that the soldier knew what could happen to him!
Violent crime rates up significantly. Government will no doubt claim that reduced spending on police has nothing to do with it. Unfortunately it's a double whammy because maintaining spending on terrorism related policing means that any other cuts are distributed unevenly. So there you have it, making us safer from terrorism actually makes us less safe, because terrorism is rare but other crime is increasingly common.
Police will not stop violent crime, proper sentencing will. In Rwanda, if you steal someone's mobile phone, 2 years hard labour. Joyride their car, 6 years hard labour. Hard labour (with no parole) means wearing a Guantanamo Bay style jump suit working 12 hours a day 7 days a week 365 days per year laying curb-stones or building gabion walls to provide the country with a decent road network. It works, their country is quickly getting the best road network of any African country and no-one gets their mobile phones stolen. If you leave a bar and forget your phone, go back the next day and it will be there waiting for you. Few, if any people are mugged and Kigali is one of the most pleasant cities in the world.
Because the Tories don't look enough like squabbling children, the Dire leader's response to the Opposition winning a motion vote to prevent the rollout of Universal Credit by 299 votes to 0 is trying to say that it didn't count because none of her MPs voted. Or, to look at it another way... The Dire Leader is saying that she can ignore the result as it was non-binding - even though she's spent over a year saying how a certain other non-binding result must and shall be carried out because of the "will of the people" and similar bollocks.
Police in the UK get it from all sides and they're far from perfect, but they are being used and set up as political punchballs by this government - all starting under the Direction Liedereens tenure as Home Secretary. Massive funding reductions over the last 8 years have taken a huge toll and careful manipulation of crime stats suggested they could continue to do more for less. WRONG!! Forces now have to fund a magical 1% extra pay rise from their own funds. They don't ****ing have any left - so guess where that will come from. Further service cuts...... Anyone feel up for investigating a murder???
"If you choose not to take part and vote you can’t say, ‘well, we didn’t lose’." "A minister from the government should come to the House and show respect to the institution and say what it intends to do." "This institution is bigger than any one party and is bigger than any government." - John Bercow, Speaker of the House.
Who paid for it? The Republicans did. That's a known fact. As for it being fake and discredited, absolutely none of it has been shown to be wrong. Not a thing. Given the fact that it wasn't a finished product, by any means, that's rather surprising.
What makes the Tories' stance even more of a farce than it already is is the fact that, if it was just Opposition MPs voting, the result would have been 298 to 0 - but Sarah Wollaston broke ranks to vote. At least Douglas Ross had an excuse to not vote, given he was a linesman at the Nou Camp at the time...
I assumed that this was some sort of joke about a lookalike when I saw it earlier. Not so, apparently: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-scotland-scotland-politics-41660040 WTF? A Scottish Tory and a football official? He must really love people hurling abuse at him.
I thi nk public safety comes first and government should do more police recruiting by putting more funds into it and paying the police more money. Is that too easy?......and.....making prisoners work for their keep and not turning prisons into hotels!
