Utter nonsense Rafa had a good balance to his side and the team certainly wasn't negative or the football boring. You just have a stick in your arse because you lot didn't want him, glad of that though don't want his reputation tarnished by being with you lot long term y'chavvy ****ers.
Rafa was awful Luv admit it. Other than the CL win, he was pretty bad. Still think Houllier is the best manager Liverpool have had in the PL era
Yes, that CL was achieved with magnificent attacking football too. Liverpool played all the football in Istanbul!
At the point where he had built a good team if he'd have been backed by the two cowboys we had in charge he was just short of an amazing team. Reina Finnan Carra Hyypia Riise Alonso Macha Kuyt Babel Gerrard Torres It's a decent team throughout other than Babel with some real quality, if he'd have been backed and allowed to build on it then who knows.
Kuyt! Finnan! You had one strong season with that side, but were still some way behind United I am afraid during that period. You are kidding yourself, I am afraid.
Every team needs a workhorse like Kuyt and Finnan was solid did his job week after week, not saying it's the best team ever or anything but Rafa built it and was on the very of a superb team if you take that side into account. That team also means that your negative footy comment is bollox.
Especially Inter, he took Jose's treble winning squad and completely arse ****ed it. Infact I would be worried as a United fan, since he has a habit of going to Jose's old clubs and undoing all his work (Chelsea, Inter, Real), United may be next when Jose eventually leaves.
Not great at Inter but he did win the Italian Cup and World Club. Real he only got 7 months but lets be clear he had a great squad and I think he was 5th and it was never going to be good enough. Point is though his record is pretty good and he's a good manager.
Chelsea fans ditto. Took us from 3 points behind United to 18 points off the top in three months. Ceded two goal leads v Reading Saints West Ham etc.... Blew a very winnable Carling Cup (Swansea in semi, Bradford final), weakest World Club Championship in years (poor Corinthians side). Ruined a title winning Inter side.
Before I get pulled up on this, it wasn't the Italian Cup it was their version of the Charity Shield.
Rafa did manage to take Inter from Serie A winners to 13 points off the top by January. Also, didn't he get some cash from the Texans to strengthen and the signings didn't work out. Some Italian midfielder etc
