My better half is taking me there 2 weeks on Friday for a 4 day break to celebrate my 40th birthday. I was just wondering if anybody on this site has been before and for any recommendations for places to visit and of course have a good skinful and eat etc. We're planning on doing a day in Vienna aswell whilst we're out there so again any recommendations for there aswell will be much appreciated.
Never been but here's a couple of good tourist films about that area of Europe. https://cmovieshd.net/movie/hostel/watch/ https://vidzi.tv/4pzqwv3zqoay.html
Yeah The other is Severance, a black comedy set on the the Slovakia-Hungarian boarder where schizophrenic soldiers who went insane in during the cold war hunt down the employees of a work's team bonding trip.
I quite liked it. One of those that peaks then kind of fizzles out. It's quite funny in places. British film, british humour. I'm sure you'll be sound mate. Enjoy.
Never heard much about the place so googled it. The place looks and sounds great. Putting that place on my places to go soon. Let us know how you get on Tees. Enjoy.
Most big Eastern European cities are interesting one way or another, usually for the fit birds or the architecture if you're into that sort of thing. I bet you find a hand carved oak 4ft dildo.
Pretty old aren't you. Vienna should be nice they do that ice cream with the layers of chocolate type substance.
I've been to Bratislava twice, but unfortunately both times in a non-skinful mode, the first time on my own when I had it in my head that I should be seeing the sites and not boozing, and the second time a camping trip around Eastern Europe with bairn when he was eight. So me ... chocolate fireguard ... etc. The place is nice enough to look round, but nothing special, nowt in comparison to Budapest or Prague. So go for the day-trip to Vienna. In any case just enjoy the break, not every city has to be jaw-dropping gorgeous, just going to a different place and seeing how people live is fun enough in itself.
Haha my lass has just turned 29 so she keeps me feeling young. I dont feel a day older than 30 though to be fair its pretty scarey how quick time goes once you do reach 30. How old are you by the way out of curiosity?
40... You old bastard!!! No idea what it's like fella but enjoy yourself. (I'm 42 and the wife is 32!! Keeps me young)
I'm 34 mate and I know just what you mean about time passing quickly after 30, last few years have absolutely flown by. 30 also marked the exact point that I had to start watching what I ate otherwise I'd put weight on at a rate of knots. Is it your birthday tomorrow?
Bratislava is pretty small, but plenty of good watering holes. Ain't been for a while so will try and get some local tips and ping them over. For Vienna make sure you take the 'fast boat' along the Danube from a Bratislava. It's quite exhilarating when the driver gans full throttle and you're pissed on the rear deck, outside. before you go mate watch the movie Deliverance just to get a feel for the place,,,,, oh and happy birthday , wishing you all the best
Yeah i know what you mean mate. I used to eat like a pig in my 20's and i never moved over 11 stone. Hangovers get harder to shake off aswell as you get older. Its my birthday 2 weeks on Fri, the same day as we go to Bratislava so ive still got 2 more weeks in my 30s to go yet.
