For those that dare to defend him how can you not critise the manager based on the evidence at hand. * He has known about the Cesc situation for 3 seasons, if this was the year he was to go let him go early and work in a replacement during preseason? * Same for Nasri * Why not strengthen the 1 postion that has been our achilles heel season after season? Kos has done ok but as shown today we need depth on those positions and * The morale of the team looks horrible * Where is the discipline, 3 suspensions from 2 league games!! * The fitness of the players is shocking they seem so brittle it's just scary, you can't fully blame him for all the injuries but we seem to have the wrong fitness regime and physios * Performance levels for some have been down right disgusting (today Arshavin, Ramsey!!!!) There's something really wrong with the club and the buck stops with Wenger who has one of the most powerful positions a manager can possibly have at a club
He is also the highest paid of all the EPL managers from what I gather. Does that make him the highest paid manager in the country then? Whatever, it's very poor show and very poor value for the club and fans. Arsene's done his bit for Arsenal. There is nothing for a while now that indicates he can take us to any major success. If anything, we are slipping in almost every department so it is best to save what we can of his reputation and move on.
Wenger is very much to blame. Lets look at the Samir Nasri problem for a start, he first said that if he does not agree a new contract then he would be allowed to leave in July, then he said he will keep him for another year now he has given into selling him. This one situation sums up Wenger's indecisive nature over this summer.
We need change and we need it soon, before it's too late. AGAIN. There are only 12 days left to buy somebody. All I read is that we are making offers for players and they are being rejected. We don't hear the same from other teams, Liverpool Manure, City etc. When they want somebody they spend the required amount. All we seem to do is make a low offer then f**k off when it's not accepted. We have money so why not spend it. If things carry on like this I really fear for our Arsenal. Our board and management have to be blind not to see what needs fixing. What is going on? Get your fingers out!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! A lifelong Gooner
Just watched the post mAtch interview. Wenger is altogether on another planet, we have some serious defects in our team and a manager who seems to want to ignore them. Want to see where that leads a football club? Watch motd tonight!
If he could see the problems and actually put his hands up and (finally) say 'OK, I see it', then I'd be optimistic. But he clearly thinks this team are world-beaters and that every goal scored against us is just 'unlucky', which is worrying.
Do you really think ANY manager will come out and say, yea i know our defence is ****, **** players all over the place, my nan could do better them young players they did abit **** aswell, **** me the whole teams ****
Spot on. As our players are young, they could do with some support from the manager, and that is what Wenger is brilliant at. I would be gutted if he left, i think he's a quality manager who has taken this club to heights that hadn't been reached. He got us an undefeated season, what more could you want than that. Some of you "so called gooners" are mental. Appreciate everything this man has done for the club we love. And all the plastic fans can piss off. I love this club, and i would hate to see it with the wrong man in charge.
Since i got into football (12-13 years ago), arsene wenger has been arsenal's manager. To me, Arsenal without Arsene is like Manchester without ignorant ****ers. It wouldn't feel right.
Don't these players grow up? Every year in year out for the past 5/6 years, they are always being refered to as young players.
Yes they do grow up Waxy but as can be seen the best of them leave...... At any rate I too refer to them as young but in my case, they actually are Sorry - just my way of getting through this day
I used to feel that way about George Graham! When Rioch came in my worse fears seem to have come true. Then along came Wenger! Just as Grahsm had run out of ideas it seems that Wenger now has. A new manager bringing in a couple of top players and reviewing tactics could make all the difference. We only need a few tweaks to get back to winning ways, that is what is so frustrating!
Yup but of course these tweaks are in the Arsene's blind spot. It is true sadly, that he has run out of ideas. Does anyone think he would take a back seat and be coach to our youth section?
