    Good Morning Everyone

Caleb Ekuban is nearing a return, and could be back in a couple of weeks.

When match fit, would we expect him to go straight into the starting line up?

Christiensen has been publically attacked on social media for saying that Leeds were unlucky not to pick up a point against Reading last Saturday

TC says #lufc deserved a lot more from the game which was too "slow" but felt chances were created & players reacted better to going behind.

Eddie Gray has been having his 2pennth worth (hope that isn't copyrighted) <>yikes>

“You’ve got to have a certain amount of physical strength in this league,” Gray said.

“That doesn’t mean you can’t play or you can’t accommodate players with flair but most Championship games are a hard, physical challenge.

“There was a lack of confidence against Reading, I think we could all see that, and the football was too slow. You cause trouble for teams, and in fairness this Leeds side have caused trouble for teams, when you get in behind them but we’re finding that harder to do.

“For me it comes down how well the players are dominating games. We’re not overpowering teams in the midfield and I think Thomas might have to have a rethink now.

Personally, I think there are times when we need three in the middle of the park – another body to make sure that if it is a battle, we can win it. It’s that extra bit of strength and insurance and in my opinion, that means playing (Ronaldo) Vieira.”

Nothing like being told I'm a gobshyte from a Cockney, simply because I dont live on this board talking inane bollox all day.

Also good to see Eddy Gray has suggested we play an extra midfielder. I suggested this yesterday as Phillips & O'Kane are not doing it, I suggested Klich or Viera as both would add flair & in the case of Viera some needed power. Ristac wondered why I like Klich? well a couple of reasons 1) I know some Poles who know football who say they hope he gets International call up. 2) I prefer to see a player selected who has played at the highest level in both Germany & Holland. He's a Dutch Cup Winner, He only played 23 games in the top German league but scored 4 goals & got 6 assists, which isnt bad for defensive midfielder. He also played last season in the top Dutch league scoring 8 goals with 6 assists even scoring the winner against Ajax. So I would suggest he is a more rounded player with more experience than any of Phillips, O'Kane or Viera. My opinion for what its worth

We would be stupid getting rid of Tommy at this stage, & I reckon you will find the club dont offload him even if results get worse by Christmas. This is a long term project & the usual moaning Waccoe mob can fook right off

Good morning everyone,Yep think i agree with Eddie, about time we played Vieira in the middle to shore up our midfield which at the moment is looking very lightweight. After all imo midfield is where games are lost & won.also glad to see we have done something about the Keeper (Lonergan i admit is not perfect but an improvement on wiedwald) so he for me will do for the meantime. Also my big other worry is Hernandes why he is playing game after game is beyond me,offers nothing but jokeable set pieces (seen the kids take better ones in my local park) so once this is sorted i think we will see an improvement (i hope)

Good Morning to Matt and co from a breezy Bardsey.Yes its just breezy we seem to be very sheltered here
I would give a revamp to the midfield and bring in Klitch and Viera Hernandez does not like playing away from home so rest him Ekuban would not get into the team automatically and Cibricki should be given some game time to see how he copes

Caleb Ekuban looked like a fast powerful forward, put himself about, scored 1 goal in pre season then hurt his foot. Hardly a formula for putting him straight back in. Cibicki & Grot need a chance first to either show us what the management team saw in them or show us that the management team can get it wrong. Grot for me should be starting with Lassoga as hes a speedy powerful front man who spent most of his time out wide. I think he would complement Lassoga BUT HE NEEDS TO MAN UP & SHOW WHAT HES MADE OF. Watford have a kid similar to Grot yet their kid uses his power to rough up defenders, takes his chances & looks a real handful

It’s like Spartacus. “I want 3 in midfield’. ‘No I want 3 in midfield’

We’ve been over-run in midfield in way too many games since monk came.

I don’t rate Philips, never have but it’s the system (or the players not having the ability as a team to play to it’s strengths) more than the individuals that’s the problem. We don’t have the numbers when we lose possession.... and we lose possession two much because we don’t have Xavi and iniesta and have more dwarves in the side than Snow White who can’t man up in the 50:50s.

Doc, I agree, something needs to change. I can understand TC sticking with what he thinks is his first team after a good start, probably viewing this as a blip, but 4 losses in the last five suggests a slump in form so time to give others in the squad a chance (or he'll lose the dressing room). Can't comment on the last match as I couldn't get the bloody stream to work but over the last few games that I've seen Roofe looks very lightweight and is simply not a winger. I'd also like to see Cibicki given a go, thought he looked good in the cup game. Phillips started well but seems to playing like a man who knows he won't be dropped. I get what everyone says about O'Kane but the fact is we seem to get worse results when he doesn't play (current form excepted). I don't know what to think about Pablo but I think he should be played when we're in good form full of confidence. At the moment, in my opinion, we need to dig in, a bit like we did last season under monk and grind out a win however good or bad we we play. Saiz should be the only 'flair' player on the pitch until we do that. Oh and agree Doc, the size of Grot he should be ****ing terrorising defences, particularly full back if he starts out wide <ok>

Another comment I made yesterday was about Pontus not being Pontus of last season. I wondered if Tommy had told him to calm down as we couldnt afford him suspended. It seems he told the world last night that he was **** and apologised, said he would get it back again. Pennington is a better option whilst Pontus plays ****, so lets hope he gets his mojo back

Really good and reasoned response ref Klich Doc. Apart from missing the crucial time in pre season, him and Viera are the head scratchers for me, obvious options to try and give the side a lift.

Having said that, and this is a genuine question because I have no idea, how often to you go? The reason I ask is, you are down on O'Kane and I can't see much that he has done wrong. Supposedly played at Wednesday with cracked ribs when everyone was woeful and Saturday was MOTM for me, the engine of a sluggish team. If I have a complaint (and it has to be tactical) is he comes way too deep to receive the first ball, literally between Cooper and Jansson and I can't see what we gain by starting every attack with five at the back?

No digging there, just intrigued. Different opinions abound and WJ & I were at the same game and he thought Philips (who I really want to like) played well, I thought he was really poor.

Anyway, onwards and upwards, a couple of wins on the spin and the whole complexion will look so much better :emoticon-0148-yes:

And by the same yardstick a couple more defeats we will be in full blown crisis mode.
