It was blindingly obvious well before the referendum that a leave vote would damage the economy. And that the kind of disorganised fiasco we're witnessing now could be catastrophic for it.

The OECD isn't always right with its forecasts, it's true, but they're spot on with this one.

Walking away with no deal will set the economy back a generation or more.

    OECD: 'Brexit should be reversed'.

In other news, the OECD has received more than £23m from the European Union since 2007.

Reallly?? A whole £23 mill? In 10 years??

FYI the OECD is funded by its member states. Of which all EU countries are, including the UK. The larger the economy the bigger the contribution.

It's in your interests to lay off the politics and stick to cage fighting dwarfs.

You cretin! The UK will remain a member of the OECD whether they leave the EU or not! So they will still receive our contributions!

Yes, probably. The OECD exists to champion policies which improve people's wellbeing, economic or otherwise. Brexit has no chance of doing that so it's promoting a policy which would.

    No you stupid ****.

Our membership of the OECD is **** all to do with our EU membership, we've been a member since 1961

...and unless the US, Australia, Canada and New Zealand have recently joined the EU, I'd suggest it's possibly a worldwide organisation

One quite striking lesson is that the organisation’s economists are better at predicting upturns than downturns (so much for “the gloomy profession”). Between 2007 and 2012, they predicted 91% of accelerations in OECD countries over the following 12 months, but only 46% of decelerations.

You get better odds on guessing

I think by now that any and all credible claims that the UK will be better off by leaving the EU have been withdrawn or discredited.

Which beggars the question why isn't a stop being brought to this suicidal idiocy, like now!..

My apologies if once again inconvenient facts and statistics are getting in the way of your pipe dream of a land of milk & honey after Brexit.

Unfortunately, for you, those of us with more than 2 brain cells can see quite clearly where this stupidity is taking the country!

    **** me you're thick

It's not everyday that a nation decides to **** off it's closest 27 export markets that account for nearly half of all of it's exports.

How many of the deceleration calls that they made were accurate btw???

The only upside of Brexit is when knobheads like you who were suckered into voting for it, start feeling the effects in your pocket.

Working class xenophobes conned by old money Tories.......

It's not a load of crap, you moron. I could waste my time trying to explain the intricacies of how the calculation was made, but as you struggle with even basic concepts, I really cannot be arsed to waste my time!
