The people making it an audience thing are the ones who don't get it. This isn't a fixture for the neutrals, it'll generally be **** but it means something to both sets of fans other than the plassie Mancs who will deny it and the new FIFA generation Liverpool fans who will wonder why it's ****.

It's a big rivalry whether or not TV (Sky especially) hypes it up.
    Sky hypes everything.

    This.

United and Liverpool supporters know it's usually awful and are glad to see the back of it and move on. It has always been the case.

Not our fault Sky big it up. Like they do everything.

Most derbies are not good to watch for neutrals. They have good atmospheres but very little else about them is good imho.
There was a point when the NLD was spectacular to watch for neutrals as it was a regular goal fest. Between 2004 and 2012 there two or three 2 all draws, a 3 all and a 4 all draw. There was a 5-4 arsenal win and a
3-2 spurs win. But thats not really the case in the past few years.

Mourinho said his problem is he was losing in midfield and didn't have anyone on the bench to change things

BTW pay no attention to the £37m midfielder he had on the bench earning £140,000 for the week

You don't really have a proper one though do you? Where it's the main rival for both teams.

To be fair I don't know why Mata didn't start, he usually puts the fear of god into your shambles of a defence.

I'm just slightly disappointed that the international break come before the game.

Rather that with you lot having a meltdown than take a beating since we had an off day.

Yeah you've got loads of spicy affairs with Spurs, Arsenal etc. Rather than just the one stand out game that makes you feel sick all week in the build up.

I prefer it that way personally though I do see why some might like to have multiple games instead.
