Not really, feel like I'm talking to a politician who won't give a straight answer. If you think McClean is genuinely a class above Watmore despite being equally limited as a footballer then fine. My point only ever was that the gap isn't as big as some are making out.

I personally don’t get how people, and I know some have a tarnished image of him, can say McLean isn’t a very good player. He has big influence at club and national level, our own opinions of him as a person don’t change that. He’s every bit a Prem player as his stats prove. Watmore was looking like he could be, and is a very decent prospect. They are not comparable for me yet.
I don't have strong feelings about him as a person, he's not a bad player but I certainly wouldn't describe him as a "very good" premier league player. Good by West Brom's standard maybe. It's beside the point anyway. There are loads of players in the prem at or below Watmore's level. If he played for a good team you'd see that.
Oh I agree with that, I just don’t think McLean is an ideal reference point. He’s a very good player, and if ‘by West Brom standard’ it is, they are a top half Premier League team and have been for 3 years.
Cant see how anyone can defend Grayson now. 1 win in 12. 3 points frim safety already. No sign of improvement or any indication that Grayson can get these players winning games.
