Obviously it'll be results driven, but unless he brings in a commanding midfield player and a goal scorer he looks doomed.

Same. I'd probably have more patience if he wasn't such a twat in his interviews.

Actually, he may well bring in the 2 players mentioned above, but he'll continue to make baffling substitutions regardless...hmmm ?...

He'll continue to put his mate Barmby on, even though he shouldn't even be on the bench.

Another tactically inept performance from NP today.

Strange starting formation for a home game against one of the weaker sides in the league.
Strange substitutions - taking off the MOM
Even stranger comments in post match interview, suggesting that we will be reverting to his favoured long ball game.

Heaven help us, we can't create chances when we try to pass the ball on the deck. No chance when we start hoofing it again.

agreed, a bus pulled out in front of me while i was listening to him, i had to think twice about braking, reckon the collision would have been less painful..

It is obvious they are issues in the dressing room at the moment (i suspect regarding the treatment of Jimmy Dullard). It is obvious quite a few players are low on confidence. The Allams need to either put their hands in their pockets to allow nige to get in a decent striker, creative midfield player and a central defender or get rid of Nige and get someone else in to give freshen up the management and gee up the players.

Sadly I think it will be the second one and sooner rather than later.

We definitely need to spend money on some other players from the sounds of how the other teams in the league are doing.

I despair a little to see Brighton buying Hoskins, MacKail Smith and Lua Lua and now Harley from Swansea.

I hope to god we get some decent players either on loan from a Prem club or bought from somewhere.

The best I saw us play was 4-3-3 against Swansea.

Soooooooooooo what's it going to be?

    Soldier on with the defence?

    Basso
    Rosenior Experienced CB Chester Dudgeon
Cairney Experienced (and able to run) CM Brady
    McLean Fryatt Simpson

We need to learn to score!

Nigel had no plan B today.....went a goal down and that's it....didn't change it at all for another 50 minutes. No goals this season at home after 3 games and Fryatt running around all on his lonesome...what a waste. I know Nigel loves his teams to be defensive but you've got to have something to defend i.e. A GOAL!! He either needs to go 'more direct' (his words) and start Adebola and put it on his head to try to get a goal.... or start with the 3 smaller lads (Fryatt,Simpson & McLean) and go 4-3-3.....he can then change it to be more defensive if we get a lead....it can't hurt at this point of the season.

    A couple or other points:
    1. Why are we trying to get rid of Olifinjana when he's the obvious player we need in midfield strong, skillful and tall (we are a very short side). How much will it costs us to find someone similar?
    2. Rosie mentionned in his post match interview the lack of ball boys to get the ball back quickly when it goes out of play..he's mentionned this before and Nigel will not shift on the matter obviously....how about you try it for once Nige??
    3. We need an experienced centre half with a wise head at the back and a tough striker with some strength and pace....Waghorn at Leicester comes to mind.

FFS GET A GRIP. Its only august. Just watching SS2 your on sky sports....Arsenal fans are livid with Wenger. Its so funny and so early in the season for the knee jerk reactions. NP has a better team now and needs just 3 more players. Give him time. Its nowhere near as bad as some would have you think.

We need Waghorn and Le Fondre. Fryatts confidence looks shot. Mclean is not good enough. Adebola is too slow. Simpson is a fat lazy **** who can only score tap ins from 1 yard out.
