Same, not really into small dogs and those ****ing little rats with an attitude that pass for dogs are an abomination. Also you are 100% right about dogs with bad behaviour being the responsibility of the owner, unfortunately too many dogs are labelled problem dogs and end up in homes or being destroyed, when it is their owners who do not know how to train them properly. Unsure about your last sentence though, are you saying that it annoys you that dogs aren't human ? lol
Yeah I understand that mate. I had to get rid of a dog due to work etc, as it just wasn't fair on him and it was really hard. One of the reasons I won't go for certain breeds is health issues tbh, never really had boxers in that category tbh but will certainly look into it now. I know they are high risk of cancer etc but other stuff like digestion I thought was down to owners not feeding them right etc I had a mate had a boxer and one of my neighbours has one and they are very loyal and intelligent things
Lol. No mate. Its people who treat dogs like humans. I was with a girl once whose mother was a vegetarian, so the dog had to be vegetarian and she referred to it as her daughter Oh and the whole dog in a hand bag? Don't get me started
They are majestic dogs, I love my lad. Even though his arse stinks. I would also have another Springer Spaniel. They aren't big dogs, but they've got proper dog proportions and proper dog mentality. And they are funny as **** with their determination to find stuff. My Springer would disappear into the hedges and gorse bushes and be in there for ages rooting around. She'd then come out with half a manky old tennis ball and think it was the most important thing in the world
I heard that it’s treated Kustard like he was the EU. Refused to pay its bill and ****ed off. Probably the way it was trained!...
If HIAG was a dog, he would definitely be one of those mouthy little ****s that suffer with small man (dog) syndrome.
My mate has got a Staffy and a Pitbull and they are the nicest dogs ever. He is absolutely spot on with them though, so they are under his total command. Again, not the dog, but the owner. If you have a Pitbull who is trying to assert his authority in the pack over it's owner then you have big problems because they are pure ****ing muscle.
When i say I want a dog. I want a dog. Not a ****ing chinchilla you carry in a bag! Little dogs! WTF are they all about?
I ****ing love dogs though I've never actually had one. Would love to one day but if I did would have to be from pup and it's not fair to do that imo if you work full time. Will probably have to wait to I settle down again. As for the conversation about ridgebacks... One of my favourite breeds. They're ****ing beautiful dogs, not gonna go through it all again but I'm sure I posted on here before the story about my mates grandparents that had two which were mistreated by kids and cornered me the first time I met them when I was young, but were lovely after they got used to me. Think it was the dog thread we had.
It's better for a working family to get a small dog, no good getting a dog that needs constant walking if you don't have a lot of time. I've always said no because we don't have time might give in sometime in the new year and if I do it'll be a Yorkshire toy terrier.
