First one definitely was, the second comes down to interpretation of the not interfering rule, a rule which I personally hate.
The first definately was. His right leg was in an offside position, ergo Suarez was offside. I guess technically the 2nd wasn't offside because he wasn't interfering with play when he was offside and then was behind a defender when the ball was played back to him so was legitimately back in play although I don't know the rules with how an attacker is deemed in play again e.g. if he leaves a ball to go through to the keeper knowing that he is offside and when he can go close the keeper down.
Leaving the rule open to interpretation as it currently is makes it a terrible rule if you ask me, they should just simplify it again, if your offside your offside, there would be less controversy over certain goals, plus it makes the officials job so much easier.
I agree. It should be simply if there is daylight, you are offside. Simple as that. No need to worry about parts of the attacker's body or if he is interferring with play and all that nonsense.
I don't think either goal was offside. He's level for the first and in an onside position when the ball is played to him - Arsene has nothing to complain about except his paper thin squad.
I can't wait to play Arsenal next week. They will be eliminated by Udinese midweek and then they will come to the home of the Champions so demoralised with injuries and suspensions. 3-0 United I reckon. Very good result for Liverpool. They deserved it no doubt but Arsenal were as bad as I have ever seen them.
West Brom have wasted some good opportunities apparently, may well end up costing them today. Already this season has shown why I think Man Utd are favourites this season (probably lose on Monday now I've saved that ).
Should be 3-0 to be honest. Chelsea have no creativity and don't look good at all. If this is the new look Chelsea then we're laughing
I still think they'll win today. You can't miss those sort of chances against side like Chelsea and expect not to be punished for it. It's making Man Utd's victory at West Brom last week look more impressive at least. I've just noticed the stupid spelling mistakes in my last post
