A radical plan to stop gangs of street drinkers from causing trouble in Spring Bank has been revealed.

In recent months, businesses have criticised "menacing" gangs who have been caught fighting, swearing, urinating, defecating and drinking alcohol on the street.

Many of the drinkers linger outside HiQ tyres and the business has estimated their "intimidating" attitude towards passers-by has cost the firm at least £15,000 in lost revenue this year.

However, after growing concerns from residents and businesses alike, Hull City Council granted HiQ tyres £3,916 to put up a metal fence to prevent drinkers from sitting on the wall which surrounds the premises.

 

The sooner we stop rewarding stupidity and make people accountable for their own actions the better

 

It's the same people who boast, i've got £500 quid compo for holiday illness....ha ha ha mugs.........who then complain when their holiday next year jumps in price........and can't link the two

Yeah just watched it myself. Once worked with a former holiday rep. He told me that the worst bunch for putting in compo complaints where the Scousers. He used to put an cross next to their name to pre warn the head office it was prob bullshit.

As much as I ain't keen on Ehab, he's right, Inglis is a gobshite just making a lot of noise. If I were him, I'd be a little more careful with his accusations and demands.

 

I agree that Inglis is being unnecessarily reactionary.

Having read that, I guarantee Ehab doesn’t actually know what the word ‘indeminity’ means.

So now we know, Ehab put the gate up to cut his insurance premiums.

I don't think Inglis is after buying the SMC. He wants the lease ripped up so the stadium goes back to the Council and the Allams get to keep the SMC. I hope he finds a way of doing it.

 

Inglis better get his arse in gear then because he chucks it soon.
Before this little hissy fit how many on here actually knew that Colin Inglis was still on the gravy train payrole at the council ? What exactly has he influenced/achieved in the last five years ?
His personal one finger salute statue and two balls outside the dole office on the corner of Spring Bank will be his legacy, that and the whispering.

I think if we are all honest it probably started with some advice from the counter terrorist fellas, but advice and guidance was all it was....ehab then saw the potential to save money and used the "terrorist" angle as a scapegoat!
