I have family ties in the Smoke that were at the game against Leeds on Saturday. They were more disgusted by the way some of the Leeds fans reacted to the Wall fans waving those pictures etc in their direction.

Not one picture was taken of the few who got their dodgers out and started masturbating in the Wall fans direction.

Now what Millwall fans did was tasteless but surely what Leeds select few did was far worse. Add to that the fact that have been known to taunt Man Utd and Liverpool fans over similar losses and you wonder why it is that Millwall are being taken to task alone.

Lets be honest, Millwall fans think they are too cool not to wear their teams shirt and would rather dress like chavs and think fighting is great...

Leeds well not exactly the brighest type of people...

    Just leave them to it....

The simple answer is, there are morons on each side and some clubs have more morons than they really should have. We all know what clubs these are and they've always been like it.

With Leeds, two of their fans were murdered in Turkey a few years ago. I expect a few of the Leeds fans who go regular to games actually knew those lads and their families etc. Therefore, Millwall fans actively organising printing off Turkey & Galatasary flags was utterly pathetic, although they did it to get a reaction and it worked.

Singing "Munich" songs to Man Utd has been pathetic for decades and has mostly died out, partly because United fans don't rise to the bait anymore.

Yes, Leeds have been morons and I've heard accounts of their fans lighting fires at Bradford etc.

But this is always the minority. What's worse is when all the "wannabees" join in because they think it makes them "hard".

I think the point of the article was that both sets of fans should be treated exactly the same. Two wrongs do not make a right!!......If the Millwall fans were behaving badly and the Leeds Fans acted badly in return. (or visa versa) It doesn't matter who did what first.......you should be both treated equally. unfortunately the Millwall fans have at the moment a worse public profile of bad behavior lately than Leeds. Often this kind of one sidedness is as a consequence of previous bad behaviour. Although it might be a close run thing. However it certainly is not fair...once again the media has a responsibility in this!

That is my point exactly. I can understand to an extent how a lot of the Leeds fans would have felt but surely the best way to retort to such things is to maybe sing the two peoples names out loud and clear. The pity of it all is that the media had to make a pointof covering it and to an extent glorifying it. If nobody had reported it then there would be less reason for a future response.

The rules are structured so that whoever the home club is, even if its away fans causing disorder, the home club takes criminal responsibility for the actions.

It's easier for Millwall to identify their fans and to take action than it is for Leeds to pick out away fans based upon CCTV.

You’ right, CB, it’always the minority that get all the publicity, but don’t blame them, blame the rat bag press. Anything for a story.

He's got an awful lot of threads to catch up on. The Gaston one alone will take him until 2018.

Lol. Didn;t see the thread start date and wondered what all the "long Sleep" stuff was about.

Have to agree with CBK r.e. each club having idiots. But it isn't because fans aren't rising to the bait. Liverpool and Man U fans don't sing the Munich/Hillsborough songs (much) anymore because half of their fans don't know the words let alone the songs.

You still get non "glory" clubs that still sing their "pikey" or whatever else songs. 6 years on from this thread not a lot has changed other than there being more daytripper fans at the very big clubs.
