Well if we're going Ogdens, here's the witty side of the band Fantastic musical called "All or Nothing" which I saw in Chester recently. It's in Southampton 27/28 of this month. Great piece of theatre. Very 60's, though the son I went with got it too. Not just a juke-box play with Small Faces music, but tells the desperately sad story of a young musical genius called Stevie Marriott.
Can't believe that she wasn't on the site that I source info... She was a unique artist who wrote some fine songs of her own but her voice really does justice to this Ray Davies classic and she kind of made it her own...
She wrote some really smart, whimsical pop songs too.... Just love this with Lemmy dancing in the background!..... RIP Kirsty...1959-2000..
Came across this live version of Little Wing by Jimi Hendrix. Only this is Jimi himself doing it live at the Albert Hall in London. Normally, I don't give a hoot about live versions because they are often so badly played, but if Jimi couldn't do a live version then nobody could.
