Aguero for me. There's more to being a striker than the one who scores the most. 128 goals and 39 assists in 13,864 minutes (just over 154 games). Goal or assist every 83 minutes. Kane has 84 goals and 15 assists in 9,746 minutes (just over 108 games). Goal or assist ever 98.4 minutes.
I have been in China since 2010, I regularly see Man u shirts being worn, occasionally arsenal or chelsea. I dont ever remember seeing any man city shirts. Most shirts over here are barca, r madrid and milan. most people wearing these shirts would not know the name of a player except ronaldo or messi.
Historically, yes, Pixie. However, the Toon are now closer to Arsenal than they are to Spurs. I know that this makes for uncomfortable reading for you, but it is fact, nonetheless, mate.
You seem to have missed a few trophies out, Piskie. Given Arsenal's record in Europe, I can't say that I'm surprised that you've blocked it all out, though.
Sorry PNP. I saw Piskie’s comment, nearly choked on my lunch and had to respond immediately so I hadn’t seen your far more subtle reply.
Hmm, I don’t hope he leaves in two years bro but I think he will have done as for knocking on the door of world class he will have to do that week in week out at a club like Real, PSG or Barca. Until then the jury is still out.
We have one more than Newcastle and one less than Spurs. Probably for the best that you've avoided overall trophy haul when it comes to Arsenal v Spurs though
No he doesn't...that's my point...he doesn't have to do it at these clubs at all. It's not hard to win trophies playing in either of them teams. It's no biggie...and if Kane did join any of these things you would be one of the first to suggest that everyone else is carrying Kane blah blah....seen it all before. Winning trophies at these clubs is an easy thing to do, it's like joining Celtic when it comes to a trophy count. Are Celtic a world class club? Why are PSG up there in your eyes? They are the Celtic of France....so what does joining them prove? Bigger wages don't make you world class
Yes he does have to do it, banging three in against Fulham in an FA cup game is not the same as scoring the winning goal in a Real v Barca champions league final is it.
You don't have to do that to be World Class. Is Messi World class because he won so much with Barca or is he a bit Meh considering he does nothing for Argentina in World Cups? Surely it's harder to win a World Cup than to play for a team always winning? You can't doubt a man's skill level based on he doesn't play for a handful of clubs otherwise we have to start pondering if Messi is truly world class based on his bog standard performances on the biggest football stage possible. It's not as though Kane is in the Championship. He's doing his business at the top end of English football every season and also doing well for his club in the biggest club competition in Europe. He can be World Class at Spurs...wether he stays or you admit it is not my doing
Maybe a case of the players for Argentina are man for man are ****e compared to Barca. But Kane has a choice(if Spurs don't start winning silverware soon), he can plod on and finish a career that mirrors Shearer's and win **** all but be known for his goalscoring only or as is happening bide his time with Spurs and hope they kick on. The ball is as much in Spurs court as it is in Harry's, but it's ultimately down to the player if he wants a new challenge elsewhere.
You have two less than Spurs, assuming that people actually recognise your tainted history. Given that the comparison was with Newcastle, it's also irrelevant. You also left out the League Cup entirely, which is probably a result of more memory issues. Obafemi Martins induced, I'd have thought.
So unless you play with other 'top' players, you can't be World Class? He seems happy plodding at Spurs...its done him wonders so far. Maybe he should join Celtic..that's a club always winning trophies...that should qualify him for world class status by the general consensus on here.
Cup winners cup and Fairs cup = two. I can see why you want to avoid league titles and FA cup wins though
