Id like to give you just a few minutes to write a couple of sentances to talk about your local non league team and how well they are doing -

Truro city - 5 promotions in 6 years, playing now in the blue square south, highest league any team from cornwall has ever played in, managed by Lee Hodges former plymouth player, star player Barry Hayles former fulham premier league player. And now 3 wins out of 3 in first 3 games from the most up and coming team in non league football.

who are your local non league team?

Blyth Spartans, steady progress in recent years. Won the treble along with promotion under Harry Dunn, had the famous cup run ending in a fluky loss to Blackburn at Croft Park, waved goodbye by the owner for no good reason.

The money raised helped the club improve facilites, Mick Tait brought a good style of play to Croft Park, helped consolodate Blyth's position in the Blue Square North, waved goodbye by the owner for no good reason.

Attendances dropped, players released, Cuggy and Fell brought in from Whitley Bay, have strengthened the squad well considering restrictions, look set for a bright season and a chance at Top8.

Guernsey FC. Formed this year and allowed into the Combined Counties League. Currently top of the table with 10pts out of first 4 four games.

Getting attendences of about 1,400 each home game which is pretty impressive compared to the average of 40 for the league. :)

Will need the support though because we have to pay for all the flights and accommodation for all away teams, and off course every away game means the same costs for our team as they all involve flying to England. Only time will tell whether we can keep the funds and sponsorship high enough to survive. Exciting times though :)

    Haven't got a clue. <laugh>

My closest conference side is probably Gateshead and I think they're top of the league at the moment?

Indeed they are! With a fantastic-looking new stadium on the way, it looks like Gateshead could very realistically be a league club within the next few seasons though if they get promotion this season I will eat my own face.

If they get promoted I might actually consider seeing a few games, even if it does seem like jumping on a bandwagon. :D

Durham City - only a couple of seasons ago Durham were player-less and ended a season with 2 wins and 36 defeats. Almost as bad as early noughties sunderland

Have they recovered at all? Really impressed by the way the kids stepped in and kept the club alive.
