I understand where you are coming from, but I feel that for the good of the tournament the more of the traditional ‘big’ countries which are there the better. Holland 99% gone already, Italy, Portugal facing play offs.....I know if they don’t qualify they don’t deserve to be there, but still, part of the fun/agony is playing the old enemies. We could only have minnows like Iceland to look forward to. Oops.
Not as far as I'm aware. Yeah, I agree, but it does put England's qualification into a little bit of perspective. I'd love us to get Iceland in our group!!
Why? Iceland would probably win again Argentina are more than likely to win the thing Great country and about time we gave them back those islands
What happens if they win 6-0? That would put them level on goal difference - would they lose out in some other way?
I know that to get a play-off spot they have to beat Sweden by 7 goals. It is such a complicated system which excludes results against the bottom country in each group.
I'd prefer all the best players to be there, but I still think it would be hilarious if Argentina missed out. They must be pretty **** anyway to be struggling so much eh? That's what everyone would say if it were England.
