No home nation will ever win the world cup in my lifetime, or indeed beyond, so it really is a moot point. The answer is; I couldn't care less.
I've been talking on another thread on how international footy is simply dull, I've already decided that I'm not doing the usual and watching all of the WC and being bored to tears by the 1/4rs. I might start watching from that point or I might just watch the final.

That is ****ing horrible! It was fun in the Euros watching Wales play and I would have watched them in the WC of course but outside of that I have no real interest in it.
I was actually referring to this; To which the answer is actually yes, but as none of it will ever happen is irrelevant if I'm honest.
We'll I have zero expectation I must say. I won't even change my shift to watch them if I'm working. Drab doesn't even begin to describe it.
Because of the violence at the Euros my missus said i couldn't go to Russia to watch England in the World Cup. So instead I have booked flights and a villa in Tenerife for me and 7 mates - a week of fun, sun, watching football, and drinking. 7 days without anyone saying "not another game, when is this over". Hopefully we are back before England crash and burn, but i wouldn't bet on it.
Always better to be there than not qualify, even if we are a loada ****e. I remember how much I hated not being in Euro 2008. Would be even worse for a WC.
