Judging by the absence of talent in the squad, I wouldn't select any English players for the England team!
Ricky Holmes?? OK he's not likely to make the England squad now, but regardless of hairstyle he would put in more of a shift for England than most of those pampered superstars. If the England team was selected from League One and League Two players you'd get more men who'd be genuinely proud to wear that shirt, and give everything for the cause. Look at Josh Magennis, puts in a fantastic effort for Northern Ireland.
Or any player who moisturises. Looks like Iceland are going to qualify for the Finals. Hope we don't get them in our group...
I wouldn’t select any player in this Wales v Ireland game tonight - Minus Gareth Bale it is League 1 standard.
You could probably put together a very competitive Premier League side with the players we have tossed away in the last 5 years. Pope in goal ....Gomez at the back ...Shelvey & Dale Stephens in midfield ...Lookman & Yann up front
Yes, it has prompted much mirth on social media with plenty of examples given of tall Scottish players
Not sure how he can go back in to the changing room after ultimately calling them short, fat, slow and unfit. Ironic as it pretty much describes him.
What a shame that Ireland made the play offs. The moron James Maclean - openly pro IRA and refuses to wear the poppy on his shirt. The whole of England will be cheering on Ireland’s opponents in the play offs.
I hope the Irish qualify. You can guarantee their fans will find a way of having the craic in Russia. Qatar will be a different proposition.
That's reason enough for him to stand down. He's already given the players an excuse for failure. The fact that the players have publicly backed him doesn't count in his favour for this reason. Talking about Spain being even shorter than Scotland makes him a laughing stock, and you don't want a laughing stock as manager. As England fans will testify, and I'm talking about Roy "I don't know what I'm doing here" Hodgson.
Now that the taffs have had their 15 minutes of fame(by qualifying for the Europeans), what are the chances that Hodgson gets the bullet by the end of the season then Coleman goes to palice. What does 606's Robbie Box, Mr van Gerwen, think of this for a bet?
