Two things, Bambi...

(1) Your players are earning wages generally reserved for the big boys, and to which they are clearly not entitled. Not one of them would make our first XI, even if they agreed to play for nothing.

(2) Our players earn more than their salaries in bonuses and incentives, so the wage is only half the story.

Still, that wasn't a bad effort at debate on your part, Bambs.

1 Our top players have been rewarded for winning the title ..not for the finishing above Arsenal for once trophy .

2 Spurs are not really a big club Quents ...the big clubs win things...

It's not Levy you should be worrying about, it's the players themselves that will either stay loyal or get stars in their eyes and think of playing for the world's most famous club.

50/50 whether they stay or go should Real come knocking at Spurs door(again)

Sure, Alli could **** off to a club that will pay him what he earns at Spurs in wages and bonuses, without his having to actually earn any bonuses, but do we really want that kind of player at our club? I know I don't. I'd rather cash in on him and get a player who is prepared to work for success.

But, I don't think Alli is that kind of player, which is why I don't expect him to leave for at least another couple of seasons.

Anyway, it's heartening to see that you take so much interest in Spurs, Stan.
