Having secured just 5 points from their opening 7 PL matches, the pressure is starting to mount on Paul Clement's team. All those points have been picked up on their travels, so the Swans will be keen to finally get something from a home match following 3 consecutive defeats. Indeed, the last home match against Watford was arguably the most disappointing - especially those first 45 minutes when Clement's negative defensive tactics (against a side beaten 0-6 in their previous outing) were found wanting. Hopefully, the Swans will start to put together a decent attacking performance and get the win they really need. However, Huddersfield, under David Wagner, will be no push overs and they will undoubtedly fancy that they can get something from their visit to South Wales. The Swans have played Huddersfield on 52 occasions, winning 14, drawing 14 and losing 24. Arguably the most famous of those previous encounters came at Wembley in 1994 in the Autoglass Trophy Final, when the Swans picked up the Trophy after the match went to penalties. Macfarlane gave the Swans an 8th minute lead, only to be pegged back by an equaliser by Logan. Huddersfield missed 3 of their 4 penalties, whilst the Swans had a 100% success rate - Cornforth, Ampadu & Torpey all scored their penalties to win the shoot out 3-1. Looking ahead to next Saturday, my heart says that the Swans will finally get a home victory, winning 2-0. But my head says that we will witness another disappointing home performance and that Huddersfield will return to Yorkshire with a point. Hope my heart is right!
Must win game for me. We'll set up very negatively and concede in the last 10mins though. I can't see where the goals are coming from so 0-1
Last chance saloon it has to be!..If we lose or even draw this game at home then Clem has to be shown the Exit door straight after the game, The longer we keep him the worst it will get for us........I dont have an ounce of confidence in the man at all and even if we scrape home he still needs to go...
To lose against the mighty Huddersfield will indeed put the nail in Clement's coffin, time for him to grow some backbone and play an offensive formation with width, and for that Narsingh will need to start.......
To me playing Mesa at DM would be a positive attacking move because he can see a pass and would bring our full backs into a more positive attacking mode which in turn would give our attacking players more opportunities.
Play with wingers....Dyer and Routs.....Both know Bony very well, Play Ayew behind Bony with Fer and Leon in midfield A.n. Other for the rest of the players with Fab in goal.....
.....................................................................................................Fab Rangel ............................................Fernandez .....................................................................VDH ........................................................Naughton .........................................................................................Britton or Mesa Routs .......................................................Ayew ......................................................................Sanchez.................................................Dyer ..................................................................................................Bony . Ever since Andre Ayew came to us , our wings fell off ..... it's time to put them back on IMO 2 - 0 Swans
